Steelers, I'm with you on Blount, the Hoodie had never had a problem sticking with a guy who can consistently produce, and Blount has averaged nearly one TD a game in a patriots uni. I'm not worried about losing his job to any random Belichik stuff
right on......he'll have a clunker, all rb's do

Maybe this disagreement boils down to using the term differently. Blount can be the Pats RB1 but he wont be a fantasy RB1...big difference.

Admittedly though im coming in late to this party.
ding ding ding you are correct, but if you have lets say 2 -3 wr1 YOU DONT NEED a RB 1. you need a rb2, and 1-2 rb3

With Brady's suspension being upheld (at least for now) and Blount being a big topic in this thread, does this change anyone's value for the first few weeks of bumping him up? Not huge but maybe grabbing him a round earlier?

My guess is they get an injunction to have the suspension put on hold until the courts make a decision, which allows him to play all season.

But, if they don't, and he does end up suspended, I can't imagine that giving Blount, or anyone else a boost. That offense lives and does in Brady's arm, or at least, the threat of it. Garrapolo or Flyn, neither one is keeping linebackers and safeties away from the line, and neither is leading the team to 30+ points. If anything everyone gets a minor reduction in draft day.

they thought that about cassell too, and brady himself when he came in

That's what has me wondering this, and still have Gronk although I think they'd want to be a little more run heavy than pass during these games

Not if they are behind and the Pats took a hit on defense with two CBs going elsewhere.

If they are behind no, I tried to quote SP though and it didn't when he said people thought this about Cassel and Brady when they both came in; as a Michigan fan I'm a Brady guy but is it BB's system where he can plug in a guy like Jimmy G with the amount of time he has for 4 games and make him look like a decent QB?

Regardless there was a wide variety of Blount, just wondering if people thought they'd take a chance on him a round earlier than maybe they thought thinking BB would run and be conservative to control the game the first 4 and then hope Blount has a few breakout games after Brady's back? Not talking going from 5th rd to 1st but just grabbing him a littler earlier with Brady out 4 games after the upheld suspension

Cassel's Pat's cleared 30 points five times, Brady's rookie year 4 times. .they won games, they weren't offensive juggernauts
i count 6 with cassell, 5 if you say the game they "only" scored 30, they also cleared 40 three times.....but your right

Just going off Mehmet here and that was quite awhile ago, but I do recall the defense doing an amazing job in taking turnovers to the house that year too.

Well pats have steelers week 1 and jaguars week 2 which should be close games or blowout games(with the pats winning). I could see that jags game being something like week 3 raiders game last year. But I don't trust Blount.

Pfft...one game, if he even makes the team out of camp, and they'll see just how big of a fluke he was. ..that or they just go with Bolden and the passing backs just to screw with everyone

Cadet, White, Gray, Develin, Gaffney, Blount and D. Lewis..7 RB's currently lasted on the depth chart. They aren't cutting Blount or they'd have done it by now, Develin and Cadet are safe, there's 3, they might keep 4, highly doubt 5 and Gray is currently listed as the third FB/other RB on the Patriot's website's "unofficial" depth chart, a rather precarious spot if you ask me. Sure doesn't seem like a great spot to become the starter by way of a one game suspension

I think BB should trade for Alfred Blue and maybe take a flier on Shonn Greene.

Then they can call the Patriots RB crew The Reservoir Dogs.
