Series Thread: Rangers Travel to Houston for Three Games with the Astros July 24-26

If the balance of power remains the same after the deadline, I think we are destined to fight for the final wild card spot.

We could have a chance to get past Cleveland or the Twins. Then, we most likely get beat by the Astros in 3 or 4 games.

That is not worth giving up 3 or 4 top 10 prospects for, but that seems to be what we are looking at.

There are only 7 teams with an easier remaining schedule than the Rangers. That should help us in reaching the postseason.

It just seems like to me that the scenario I explained has a good chance of coming to pass.

It really won't be anyone's fault. The FO just about has to make at least 2 trades and probably 4.

The FO can't think the same thing I do, not at this point, after being in first place so long. They have to show optimism.

the most absurd thing about this season is that they played their best ball when both deGrom and Seager were out.

I think Dunning is the cause of that. If deGrom hadn't have gotten hurt, Dunning would have stayed in the pen most of the time and Bradford would have stayed in AAA. They overcame that injury really well.

The respective OPS for Acuna, Carter and Saggese. I think they are ready for AAA if they are all still here next week.

If he is the SP upgrade then they might as well upgrade the pen just as cheaply and hope for the best. I guess they would go to a 6 man rotation because he doesn't deserve to start in place of anyone else we already have here Lol

Can’t seriously believe that CY or Bochy would consider Lynn an upgrade. If they go after a starter it will be someone who makes the team better

i think assertive refers more to activity, not necessarily the quality of the activity.
