well he won't be getting Shohei, as they have pulled him off the market from reports.

Lance Lynn would come here and stink. He'll go to LA, make 7 or 8 quality starts, and be on their postseason roster.

Dodgers make mediocre pitchers better. Rangers make mediocre pitchers worse.

Heaney looks like a competent ml pitcher once every three outings or so. Most of the time he is trash...like tonight.

Need to give Bradford and White opportunities to start some games regardless of who Texas acquires at the deadline. Besides Eovaldi and Dunning, there isn't another trustworthy starting pitcher in the rotation.

That's just how it is.

Lynn pitched very well here in during his short time. My issue with this move is Lynn is not an upgrade at this time over anything we have plus he is 36

I could see this coming with Heaney. So predictable. Astros were due to hit him. Their lineup is that much more imposing with Altuve and Alveraz

Eovaldi is the only legit starter we have that I think could win a postseason start. That's why trading away assets for this season is so foolish. We are not a true contender this year. And we won't be until degrom comes back healthy.

We can't compete with the Braves, Astros, Dodgers, even Orioles and usually the Ray's.

Need a ton more good arms. We're not even close.

Dunning has been pretty solid too but I hear what your saying. For this team to be a serious contender your talking about unloading too many guality prospects to get a starter or two plus a couple of relievers. I still believe they need another bat in the lineup as well
