Would like to see more post from JTA, Winding my watch, and Hambomb. We need more posting.
I believe Winding must have passed away. He hasn't been on here in a long, long time.

It's almost over. Seager now hurt. About to finish off an 0-7 trip. Angels about to pass us. And....drumroll...

The hottest team in baseball, the San Diego Padres, about to roll into town on the Jurickson Profar revenge tour.

This is one of those trainwreck seasons that you just hope is an outlier. It's really hard to watch.

I understand that Jung didn't take batting practice today and is heading back home to see a specialist

From Evan Grant:

As we hit summer, spring training awaits for Tyler Mahle. And Kumar Rocker.

Mahle, who underwent elbow surgery last May, will throw a bullpen on Saturday and is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Round Rock next week, manager Bruce Bochy said Friday. He is expected to make a minimum of three or four starts on the rehab assignment before becoming an option for the Rangers. It could make him an option coming out of the All-Star break.

“It’s going to be like spring training for him,” Bochy said. “It’s going to take some time to get him extended out.”

The same schedule applies to Rocker, the Rangers’ first-round draft choice in 2022. Rocker is expected to begin his rehab assignment with a start in the Arizona Rookie League next week. He is scheduled to pitch two innings. Rocker and Mahle underwent surgery on the same day last year.

A spring training regimen usually consists of five or six starts as a pitcher builds up in 15-pitch increments to about 90 pitches. It typically begins with a two-inning, 30-pitch outing.

An Astros fan on Jamey Newberg"s Twitter feed was wondering if Lowe would be available in trade for the Astros.

I’m not surprised. Although commonly reported as a broken wrist, it’s actually a break of the distal (positioned closest to the wrist) ulna bone (the smaller of the two forearm bones).
There was a plate and seven screws put in.
Complete healing can take up to a year and there can be loss of grip strength and range of motion. Unless properly healed and especially being a baseball player using all that grip strength and force to swing a bat, the bone can break again.
With a young talent that he is it makes no sense to rush him back into action anytime soon. Wishing him a full recovery.

I saw this coming and posted this previous as well. Hopefully the diagnosis is more complete

Seager may have a hairline fracture not detected by XRay.

Let’s hope for bone bruise

I have no problem with Duran getting everyday ABs in the minors.
I also ok with him coming back if he gets penciled in everyday if Corey goes to the IL

FWIW the roster does not look like it can handle Duran Davis W and Ornelas. I suspect it will be different after the break

Time to focus on next year. Too much to overcome with all the bad breaks. Some bad decisions not trying to move Tavares in the offseason when he had some decent value. Adding Grossman and Kindzer and bringing up Wenzdel. I won't get into the other things.
I truly hope this team can make some decent trades at the deadline to bring in prospects or pieces to help improve this team next year.
Hoping this can set up along with some expiring contracts a chance to bring in some better players for 2025.
I am very disappointed about this year and expected the team winning the west and trying to defend their title.
I will always be a fan of this team no matter what and truly appreciate the organization giving all of us our first World Title last year.

Should never have sent Duran down.
agree but this reminds me of what happened with Duran at the end of the season and the playoffs when he was exiled to the end of the bench as far from Bochy and the other coaches and was not used. he apparently pissed them then and apparently may have done it again. something tells me he may be traded between no and the trade deadline or during the off-season

Yerry as been traded.

The Rangers acquired Toronto's 10th round draft choice from last year, John Mollerus. He is a RH relief pitcher.
