This year is catastrophic. Atleast the team scored last year. The team is on pace to score 200 fewer runs than least year, 75 fewer home runs and a 238 team batting average which is 25 points lower than 2023.
I know what you mean about their record over the last 160 games or so and we were fortunate to get hot when it counted. The question is did CY realize that.

No and neither did the media nor at least 95% of fans. Until the last few days, if I ever mentioned how bad this team was performing, on Twitter, I was scolded by several fans and or media. Now, they are beginning to catch on.

Now the team is 87-97 since that coveted 40-20 mark. It’s amazing that the team got hot at the right time for us all to enjoy our first WS. Champ.
I really want a team that can sustain years of winning with a opportunity to win a W.S. again. It seems like the team is going to have to make quite a few changes to get that point.

As you have kept updating us on the teams record since last years 40-20 mark I have kept that in the back of my mind. The team has really been mediocre except for October 2023 and a pretty good start to this year If you consider 6-2 a decent start.
