Will say this I am not as high on Hearn as some but Woody seems to single him out in a passive aggressive way and sugar coats most of the others in my eyes.
He bad lucked all the hitters but Hearn needs to learn to finish them off

We lost 3 of 4 and nothing on his end. Nor saying he should necessarily take responsibility this time but been awhile that I have heard it taken

An sense the frustration in Hearn rebutting the reporter and just owning up to one pitch versus accepting the label.

Leody has backed up so I wouldn't bring him up. Smith is very close to being ready, if not already ready. Bubba is probably just behind him, I would think. There are 4 or 5 hitters in Frisco that could be promoted as soon as there is room for them in Round Rock.

This spurt of winning may delay any movement on that front. The front office may have to be convinced that we will not contend this year first.

The sad thing is a guy like Smith I think will make impact and help but not near enough. Sure not thinking they want to set with Culbertson Kole or Miller soon. Willie and Solak may be viewed differently

Disappointing series against the Astros. I really wanted a split after Perez threw his gem. Oh well…… we just had success against the angels and the A’s seem beatable in Oakland now so we might have a decent road trip coming up.

Noticed that Josh Smith's SLG Pct is down this year which of course affects his OPS. Maybe it is his getting acclimated to AAA pitching.

He had a terrible first week or so that has held his numbers down. All of his numbers have been going up steadily after a terrible start. His slugging is still down from last year though, even if you exclude the first week or so of the season. Hopefully, that begins to go up soon.
