Shhhhhh....
Martin is sneaking into the (early) Cy Young race.
I'm 90% at least about resigning him.
That's a three edged sword with his current performance, history/age and all the young'uns coming up in the pipeline
He really got torched in that inning.
i hope you are right and we see us some Huff during the next couple of games. i would think the Sunday game because tonight's game is at regular time while Sunday is an early afternoon gameLowe hasn't been doing much against RHP whereas Huff is teeing off (7-14 .500) on them so far. That said Verlander has been very tough this year but Urquidy hasn't so you may see Huff against Urquidy with Monday being an off day...
Then again they may throw him to the wolf and say "If you can hit him you can hit anybody" I doubt this would happen but you never know...
doesn't fit into our futureI added two qualifiers to be safe.

just means if he keeps it going that we'll get more at the Trade DeadlineIn Martin's last 6 starts (41.1 IP) he has given up just 3 runs. In May his ERA is 0.64.

i've just falling in line with the leaders on the board. personally, we screwed up signing Gray to a multi-year deal so keeping Perez will block the future. so next season, it's Gray, Dunning, Hearn, Winn & (prospect?) which doesn't leave room for him.Why not?
As we have seen lately some pitchers figure it out late in their career. Whose to say that Perez doesn't have a 2-3 good years left. My problem with him in the past was his mentality. It is a tightrope but we haven't been great for the most part on these types of trades. And it may be that long before some of the guys you mentioned including a prospect figure it out as well because for the most part our pitchers in the minors are struggling. Just have to see how the season plays out.i've just falling in line with the leaders on the board. personally, we screwed up signing Gray to a multi-year deal so keeping Perez will block the future. so next season, it's Gray, Dunning, Hearn, Winn & (prospect?) which doesn't leave room for him.

Would he suffice as the ace many want them to sign this coming offseason?I'm 90% at least about resigning him.
He did great his first few times out. I think he has shown he can handle AA. He just needs to learn to do it consistently. I think at any time, him and Winn both will start to dominate their leagues.Wonder if AA was the right place to start him off
