Howard, Lyles, and Arihara are going the next three games. Maybe we will lose all three.

Seems like slot of our pitchers in the minors are piling up the strikeouts. That was scarce for Ranger pitchers. Not too many swing and miss stuff. I am not too much a fan of swing to contact philosophy

From the above article:

"Now, Kershaw has missed considerable time with the Los Angeles Dodgers this season. It's also pretty clear that the 33-year-old Dallas-Fort Worth native is on the back-nine of his career."

"That being said, he's still posted a 3.39 ERA, 2.98 FIP and 0.98 WHIP in 106 1/3 innings over 18 starts this year. When healthy, Kershaw can still pitch."

"There will definitely be other suitors for Kershaw this winter. However, the Rangers have home field advantage. Prior to the season, Kershaw expressed a desire to spend more time with family. He and his family reside in Dallas during the offseason, and his children are getting closer to school age. With the World Series monkey off his back, the Rangers could offer Kershaw a big three-year deal and help lead a young rotation into years of contention."

Watched the mighty Rougie Odor PH in the 9th inning and yes
he struck out. Gallo did not play.
It was NYY and Mets game

Not when we did the Cliff Lee trade.

We had no business trading away prospects between 2012 and now. In 2010 it made perfect sense. Timing is everything.

Besides, look how little the Phillies gave up for Gibson and Crouse.
And they didn’t get a #1 from us and we got nowhere near #1 quality back. Don’t hold your breathe that another team will give us anything close to a #1 without getting quality prospects in return. The safest and best route is thru FA and not some 32+ year old near the end of career or some low-level waste of salary scrub.

And your favorite Howard
Oh, I don't doubt Howard will be Odored to a certain extent. It will have to be painfully obvious for awhile before they realize what is staring them right in the face.

I will be glad to make another trade similar to the Cliff Lee trade at some point. Similar in what we gave up and similar in what we got, even though, overall, guys like that don't cost as much at the deadline as they did 10 years ago.

His last contract was 3 years, $93M how much would you offer him in the big 3 year deal to get him away from the Dodgers and any other team that would chase him

I don't know that I would offer him anything. I discussed my preferred approach to acquiring an ace before. I like the deadline deal when the team shows it is ready approach.

Showing Gallo played in the box score. 0-2 with a R, BB, RBI, and K.
That was before I turned the game on b/c I never saw him and I really wanted to.

Evan said something yesterday about Gallo getting a sac fly, and said that gave him as many with the Yankees as he had in all of his years as a Ranger.

Don’t like either. I would rather not go after a 34-year old pitcher and pay him for 3 years at something like 100+M or trade away 3-5 prospects for someone of questionable quality because what you get is someone a team is trying to unload

He had a sac fly. Second of his career FWIW not many opportunities here in TX
