Nick Krauth threw a 9 inning complete game one hitter for Down East tonight. Those are really, really rare. He walked 2 and struck out 9.

I am not sure he is considered much of a prospect. He signed as a free agent last summer.

As it stands now, he probably is not even favored to make the rotation next year. If Alexy pitches even decently the rest of the way, then him, Dunning, Allard, Hearn, Otto, and Arihara are all ahead of him. Then there is a chance they sign a starter in the offseason.

You could be right about Howard but it is a little early to be awarding positions in the rotation

Yeah, things could change. That is why I made sure I added, "as it stands now." I have a feeling though, that his best shot at the rotation would be to have multiple injuries to his competition. I certainly hope that doesn't happen.

By the middle of next year I would hope he has even more competition from guys like Winn, Rodriguez and Henriquez.

Who knows when Cody will be ready again. He might be better than any of those I mentioned in the previous post if he is ever healthy again.
