I have no problem getting Duran experience in AAA. Do need Huff to play daily somewhere and he needs to catch. The big issue is Garver playing injured at DH in essence blocking Huff.
I don’t mind seeing Duggar a few games before sending him down and yeah eventually both he and White won’t have a roster spot
A guy like Culbertson is more likely to be a roster casualty first.
Duran was always going to struggle playing part time. Almost, every single young prospect struggles at the big league level playing part time. Playing those kind of guys that way is planned failure.

Was he running it when Nolan was here?
The JD fans would say all of the right decisions were JD's and the wrong ones were Nolan's. Personally, I hold JD accountable for the good and the bad back then. I do think Nolan influenced how they handled starting pitchers. He spoke very specifically on that subject in a 2010 highlight program that I watched a few days ago.

He is dead wrong.

If Otto struggles continue and we are without Hearn and Otto what other 2 guys should take the vacancies in the rotation?

The same think we are doing about Seager and Semien struggling. Struggle through it.

Not a bad idea, but a pitcher is a little different. Can only pitch so many pitches and get shelled for so long. Then the bullpen gets battered
If Semien and Seager go 0-4 every game for a month it won’t tire out the rest of the lineup

I would like to see Ragans get a shot very soon. If Owen White puts up 3 or 4 good starts in Frisco we may have to consider him in a few weeks. If Winn could ever put together a string of decent to good starts he could be a candidate, but that is at least a month away.

It is possible that we make a trade for a minor league pitcher in July and then bring him up.

I like the Dodgers #18 prospect Gavin Stone

And the Yankees #15 prospect Randy Vásquez

I also like Brayan Bello from the Redsox and Taj Bradley from the Rays but they may a little more out of reach.

Didn’t see many I would want from the Braves, Brewers, Dodger or Twins.

Just looking at teams that may be going into the playoffs.. could be off base though. Maybe a prospect pitching heavy team that is low on position player talent would be a better match?

What about the Astros?

Hunter Brown looks good but is their #1
Misael Tamarez doesn’t look terrible but not great either, rather stick with Ragans

He is only 91 overall though, 18 slots below Foscue. I guess it would depend on what veteran(s) they need from us and if we could throw in a lesser prospect like Acosta or Zavala.

same here but apparently management has seen something that makes them reluctant to stretch him out right. so, Ragans would be my choice and beyond him i think we are weeks maybe months away from anyone else

and who do we trade if not other and multiple in numbers for these prospects. we need to stay the course with what we've got before we start gutting the prospect depth
