? Not sure what story other than we have gone 1/2 a season. This is not a slump, a little down time. He misses balls in the zone down the middle and chases pitches way outside. His skill set is currently lacking and the current locale and its coaching shows no evidence of a viable process. Have not heard that word with Odor. He did have one in spring but working hard and trying your best is not cutting it.

Definition of insanity. Doing the same thing again and again with negative results.

This is the 2017 Odor all over again.

I have a major issue with Odor if he refuses to be sent down. It's just shows that he's not willing to do what's best for the team or organization.

He thinks he’s too good for the minor leagues.

Don’t you guys remember earlier in the year when he had an injury, played 1 or 2 games of rehab, came back and used the major league level to try and “get back into the swing of things”.
He proceeded to strike out almost every at bat for the next 3 weeks while he was trying to “ get his timing down”.

I think he and condor ( who was also hurt at the same time) just hurried back because they saw the team doing well and didn’t want the front office to realize that the lineup usually performs better when those guys aren’t in there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the geniuses in the front office trade forsythe and Santana because they’re “pressuring” odor and condor.

I also remember a report that woody had several players request “Elvis” level playing time which is pretty much play every single day no questions asked. Woody used the heat as an excuse to deny guys that request.

Who would make such a request? I’m guessing odor and condor because if those guys are in the lineup all the time, then the front office doesn’t get to see or evaluate anyone else. Some of this is speculation, but I’m assuming that odor and condor think they’re stars and wanted to be treated as such.

The unfortunate reality is that the Rangers front office is probably the most patient one in all of sports so there’s no telling how long these guys will get to figure it out. I personally don’t think either 1 are going to develop into the bad ass we hope they do, but it’s just my opinion.


odor and his struggles are quickly becoming the story of the season, lineup cards are heavily scrutinized. We always check to see whose not playing each day. Odor will probably be the story of the offseason as well. Until this guy plays like a regular everyday player and we’re saddled with him, he will stick out like a sore thumb. He looks like a freaking double AA player out there.

Sooner or later the Rangers are going to have to do something drastic to fix the issue if they can't get him to be "willing" to do whatever it takes to fix the issue, which right now I would have to say is mental. They screwed the pooch by letting him get his 5 years in without addressing the issue, they may end up eating a lot of money before this is over.
