Me and Lance had the same 'player comparison' pegged for Charbonnet as well..although granted, it's a very simple correlation to make might as well be the same dude in a different uniform, even though Dillon has a good 15-20lbs of pure muscle of Charbonnet..

Are you comparing me to Zach Charbonnet?

He is a little bit stronger and faster than me.

Pretty close though.

Think this move should make Joe a happy guy. ..... good player and more draft capital. ..
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Panthers acquired the No. 1 overall pick from the Bears in exchange for D.J. Moore, the No. 9 overall pick, a 2023 second-round pick, a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2025 second-round pick.

Multiple sources report the Packers and Jets have agreed to terms on a deal for QB Aaron Rodgers.

That leaves the ball firmly in Rodgers' court as he continues to contemplate a potential retirement. That said, the options now appear clear - either play for the Jets in 2023 or retire from football. Another piece of fallout from the reports is the near certainty of the Packers being quarterbacked by Jordan Love moving forward. While Love has shown little on the field to show he is ready to take the reins for the storied franchise, numerous people close to the organization continue to sing his praise. More to come on one of the more enigmatic storylines of this offseason.

Is it finally Jordan Love's time ?

This Rodgers thing is dumb for 2 reasons.
1) the AFC is loaded with good QB. He wont win anything jumping to the AFC. His ego and the bridges he burned at Lambo will be his legacy. If he wanted out of GB so bad, he should have lobbied for Tampa. Good riddance.
2) Not sure what the odds are for a team striking gold on a QB 3 decades in a row (only SF' Montana/Young/Garcia come to mind).... but i hope the chant is "We Hate Love"...

Rodgers is a perfect one/two year spot for the Jets. This team is good, and can take this division and maybe even farther.

The process feels wrong from Green Bays side of this equation. What little I've seen of Love hasn't suggested he is ready and Rodgers looked like he played hurt last year.

Jets going old at QB when the rest of the AFC is going young seems interesting. Generally AFC teams should go young imo just to take advantage of whenever the Bengals pay their players and Kelce and Von Miller get older. Hard to ignore the potential upside there, though.

I dont see them dethroning the Bills.
Wild card perhaps.
But with Burrows, Mahomes, Herbert, Lamar and even the kid from JAX.... thats a lot of competition.

Well I think it would be a testament to how everybody feels about the Jets if Rodgers just decides to retire instead of play for them. LOL. And if he couldn't win in the NFC, he has no chance in the AFC. As far as Jordan Love, the Packers have screwed everything up with him since they drafted him, so it shouldn't surprise any of us if they screw this up too. That offense looked awful last year with Rodgers so I can't imagine it's going to look better with Love playing quarterback.

I thought emerging from the 'darkness' was suppose to give clarity - - guess he need a second trip. :noidea:
As for the thoughts above, to some level they all likely hold some truth in them. I mean we talking about wishy, washy Rodgers.
As for Love, I view him as basically a 25yr old rookie. Whether he was blessed by Rodger guidance during the several he's carried a clipboard, who knows, although as selfish as Rodgers is, it doubtful he got anything special from him other than what he observed from practice/games and the coaching staff..

Good points.

I think this is a classic case of the Packers org trying to save face in a sense.
Love was a first round pick from the current regime, so they have to justify their decision.

The Jets without Rodgers are a lot better than the Packers without Rodgers. I think the Jets with Rodgers are absolutely a contender despite the Jets' history as a punch line.

This would be an opportunity more like late Elway winning Super Bowls when he finally had a good all-around team.

But only if Rodgers really cares.

That's the thing though, I really don't think Rodgers has ever cared.

I'm actually quite shocked that this is a common belief by people outside of New York... as a jet fan.... as a pessimistic jets fan... I hate the idea of trading for Rodgers... assuming they give up at least a first round pick for him...

getting him is a win now move... playoff or bust... I am not at all convinced getting Rodgers makes them a favorite to make the playoffs... definitely not expected to beat buffalo...

if they don't give up much, that's a whole other story... of course Rodgers is a huge upgrade from whatever they had or was going to get...

and before anyone says anything about them winning 7 games last season... if you look at the 7 games they won, it doesn't feel like they were a 7 game winner... more like a 4 game winner... and adding a QB doesn't turn a 4 game winner into a playoff team... usually...
