Well I didn't say he was a really good starting QB. If he was good at those other things, he'd be thought of much more highly
Oh I know. I just dont think the Bears solved anything with this move. Plus it cost them Fuller so its even worse.

As we've seen with plenty of other teams, where there's a will there's a way, in regards to Fuller.

What really confuses me, is how a team pretty much devoid of offensive talent, minus AROB, a RB on a rookie deal, a QB not even getting middle of the road QB money..how the heck are they still over the cap? You want to offset Dalton's contract? cut Jimmy Graham, he's not producing anyways. Wanna save some more? Sign AROB to a real contract, structure it wisely, not the franchise tag. Restructure Quinn, extend/cut Hicks...what's more important, a stud Corner in his prime or a DL nearing the finish line?

They should've cut Quinn (who is not worth it anyway) and kept Fuller.

Bears are so stupid it's embarrassing.
At least my dynasty teams are looking pretty good.
I'm sure the draft will kill that good feeling soon enough.

Looks like the local idiots finally got one right...Fuller to the Donkeys.

speaking of teams that don’t need receivers. I don’t get that one.

The CB Fuller. Will Fuller landed in Miami

There may well be a mutiny by the defense in Denver if they spend any real capital on a WR with Sutton, Patrick, Juedy, and Hamler around, and only Drew Lock to throw it to them

Apparently there's a reporter in Buffalo reporting that Trubisky turned down an offer to "compete" with Drew Lock for the opportunity to backup Allen. Ouch Denver

Well. You gotta wonder the validity of that even if they told him. Why would they move to another bust?

but buffalo adds intrigue for him. Goes to a contender. But the draw is the qb development. Look what they did with allen. Simply amazing. Ill say it again, allen made me eat my words. But, 95/100 times guys with those intangibles dont develop. If your career is in shambles. Id be drawn to that staff and the help they may be able to give him

Just a side point about Trubisky...
Not sure you will find this in print anywhere but it seems to be a definitive local sports-talk radio nail in Nagy's coffin that he flatly refused to "develop" Trubisky.
Trubisky himself had made comments about not being able to execute plays more in line with his skillset.
I am not saying Trubisky is good, but what Nagy did is inexcusable as a coach IMO.

Baffling to be honest. But lends to why he chose buffalo: that whole situation has been so odd. With the gm- coach-qb:

Maybe BUF simply made him feel "wanted" and not just a camp body.

I buy it, sitting at #9, and from all whispers, not at all inclined to move up to get one of the rooks, striking out in trades for Watson/RW/Stafford, the plane seemed, via the "insider" sources, to get a vet to "compete" with Drew..Trubs was often mentioned, as is TeddyB, Darnold, and a few others.

As you the reasoning, yes, basically what you wrote was what was offered as an explanation. But still, ouch Denver...you've got a young QB, why don't you have someone better than Pat Schumer and his cronies to do it? I don't blame him at all, I just think it's funny that Denver, even when they're basically giving the starting job away (competing with Drew is a formality), and the guy would rather be a backup elsewhere,, because your organization has slipped that far. Welcome to what it feels like to be a Raider fan y'all

meh elway would just be trading one bust for another again, just my take, try and develop what you started.....could say it was "competition" but unless he just tore lock apart, it was gonna be locks job. Again, just my opinion. yeah schumer oof, lol. i dont think they would of given it to trubs.......or darnold, teddy b maybe........i dunno just my take...........Those guys proved to be just as bad.
