If it keeps going, and if they keep playing anyways, I think it'll be a lot like 1987. A shit ton of "who the f is that guy?"

If teams promote practice squad players or need to sign guys off the street, I'm sure some will have that overzealous mentality that they need to hit harder, or play more physical to get the attention of the coaches.

i guess part of my thoughts were this too. Contracts carry over, so those guys will still be there. Perhaps a scab performs ok so he hangs around.....then the draft.....overload of players.

or if they cancel the season...........the vets that usually retire may not, the guys who go away due to injury are still around. The guys who had "promise" but sucked badly on the field, still have the "promise" so they arent pushed out the door......then the draft happens and the new talent comes in. The usual "turnover" over players wont occur, potentially having an abundance of players.....does that make sense

Bucs signed LeSean McCoy, formerly of the Chiefs, to a one-year, $1 million contract.

Interesting move. .....

Nice.

They lost their rookie rb to an opt-out.

Now I see it. Not a opt out, he either tested positive for the virus or was in contact with someone who had. Big difference from opt out. He’ll be back soon.

Oops. My bad. Saw his name pop up the other day, thought it was for an opt-out

Shady is shot. I don't think he'll hold much value at all. It's still RONALD JONES SZN bois.
Oh, I don't disagree with Shady being nothing but a vet pair of legs - just thought it was an interesting landing spot given the 'rumors' of who was interested in him - never saw the Bucs mentioned.

4.2, and when I get to my laptop I'll dig up some others.

2.4 YAC/R and 7.5 att/brktkl dont scream "sucks" to me, but to each their own.
3.9 career...obscure metrics don't change film, which also suggests that he sucks..drafting Vaughn and signing Shady, also suggest the same.
Bruce Arian's history outside of one magical season from DJ, also suggests that all his RB's will suck

Those metrics aren't "obscure" though. They're more relevant than straight YPC, which fails to acknowledge the offensive line at all.

I partially agree with a asterisk.
RoJo is not what was expected. But Arians is obviously showing patience with him.
That could work out if he is a late bloomer.
With Vaughn out, Shady's deal suggests he's a temporary safety valve.
I wouldn't dismiss the Brady-factor either.
Brady has read enough defenses and can audible to the benefit of the run-game. RoJo wouldn't have gotten than intangible from Winston at the helm.

I just want to say I love this group.
This board has not been as active because of the pandemic uncertainty.
So I jumped into a few Sleeper Chat conversations.
:omg: :omg: :omg: :omg:
Sure made me feel that opinions are NOT welcome there.
Just made me appreciate this board even more.

I've had some good encounters on twitter, but haven't really found anything comparable to what we have going here on any of the other sites I've been on
