Rams versus Whiners

This is a game we should win, win comfortably. But of course as we continue to throw to that joke Cook the opponent has a chance. Cook is a drive killer. Not to mention our offense is effectively one sided. Some team will be able to commit to stop the run and beat us, like the Packers did. We can't always except the defense to score points, like against the Browns. But the Rams are the leader in red zone defense, truly the definition of bend not break defense.

I wouldn't guarantee any win with this offense. But we should be good enough to beat the Niners.

Their Oline is pretty bad. Our Dline is pretty good.

If we win the turnover battle, we win. Need to bring the same focus and energy we brought at Arizona.

Kaepernick is also having a lousy year. If we continue to feed and build on the momentum of the last week, will take this one as well.

This game looks pretty straight forward. Rams are really good at negative plays on defense and the Niners are really bad at defending negative plays. Niners are really bad at causing negative plays on defense, too, so the Rams are only going to really get in trouble if Foles have a turnover marathon.

The advanced metrics say that the Rams should attack the Niners with Britt and Cook. This has me a bit worried but the Rams do need a #1 WR threat and a TE threat if they want to legitimately compete for a playoff spot this year. On paper this should be Foles' best game of the year and they probably won't get more than about 100 yards out of Gurley.

Vegas has the Rams with the biggest line of the week so far @ -8.5. (Two lines still undetermined)

They also have this game with the lowest over and under @ 39.5. That seems like easy money!!

With them Vegas lines, they must see the final somewhere around 31-9 Rams.

I'm pretty confident in this one (especially because it's in St. Louis) but I keep having these flashbacks of letdown games from years past. Solid performance last week + Divisional matchup = a lot of Xanax for me prior to kickoff. Lol.

Things look good for us in this one... but fingers crossed, though. Just in case.

Granted I don't think the 'Niners shold be taken lightly, I do think this would be an ideal time to give Quinn a break. I'd sit him out this week. And I might consider grounding McDonald, for that matter. Or at least giving him only light duty. Hell... Quinn only played like 30% of the snaps last week against Cleveland.

I think we're deep enough on the defensive side of the ball to keep some guys fresh.
