The Raiders took Conner Cook in the fourth round. Interesting. Any guesses as to why they'd use a mid-draft pick for a backup QB like that?
who they got now? carr mcgloin gilbert....not exactly hof'ers....
And/or it turns into a Oz situation where Carr is just good enough but not enough to pay franchise money to. Right now like Elway said there is not middle class for QBs and it will be harder to find QBs as the age of the existing population of QB is getting close to retirement age in the NFL.Essentially this is the Ron Wolf influence. Take a midround QB and hope in a few years he develops and you can trade him for better value.
