Normally I think it's in the best interest of 2 win teams to lose in week 17 but I Lawrence needs this one. He's the most hyped QB prospect of the last 10 years and he hasn't done anything all season.
I love how terrible he’s been

I think New York is going to have to intervene in Jax or in Baltimore.... A Jags win paired with a Ravens win renders tonight's game meaningless as both teams will be wildcards. Also in play is a Steelers appearance in the playoffs if they win and the Jags pull it out.

This is the weakest Pittsburgh team I remember since the days of Tommy Maddox..... They've had a few teams that missed the playoffs that were head and shoulders better than this version. But, here we are.

I'm sure the NFL would love the Steelers to make it. The most historically popular franchise in the league with a HOF QB having his last run.

I didn't even know they were still mathematically in it. Tomlin deserves COTY consideration

People will say "it's Jacksonville" as an excuse but Gardner Minshew played pretty well there as a young QB the prior couple years.
the Jaguars were about a half a quarter away from the super bowl a few years ago, and then all of their good players wanted out, and/or left, but according to the media, the bengals are dysfunctional

They're an interesting team. A hyped QB on a cheap contract, the possible #1 pick in the draft this May, a ton of cap space, a soft division without an elite QB...

They can probably get a good coach if they give them full personel control

I don't see much evidence that Lawrence is any good.... I mean, most of the top-line guys have shown some sort of promise early. I suppose you could also question how good Tua might be, but nobody really had him as a 'can't miss' guy. Every now and then you see Lawrence's arm talent, but most of the time the offense seems lost.

Jags goalline stand.... They remain ahead 23-3 with 12 minutes left to play. And now the Texans are rallying back.

BTW - If anyone is watching, the Bengals have 107 yards of total offense through 3.5 quarters in Cleveland. And they are only down 4 points. WTF.

A couple Keenam turnovers made it close. Cleveland dominated that game

Chiefs win on a fluke 4th quarter fumble, Titans struggle against a 4 win Texans team, Dolphins leading the Pats by 2 scores, Bills in a 1 score game with Jets at the half...

The Bengals are probably playing the best football in the AFC right now

Looks like Steelers will be in. Whoever loses between raiders and chargers is out. They aren’t going to tie.

Actually I think the raiders are.
I was thinking the same, but then Barnwell tweeted that the Raiders are here because over the last three weeks they played a back-up (Lock), a third-stringer against Cleveland (in a game where the Browns were missing like 20 guys) and an ill Carson Wentz.

For teams in the AFC, I'd say the scariest (not counting the Bengals) would go in this order - KC, Buffalo, Tenn., LA (if they make it), NE, Vegas (if they make it), Pittsburgh

If I were counting the Bengals, I would be tempted to put them right behind the Chiefs.... And I say this knowing all of our history and knowing that we'll likely do something to disappoint the fanbase. I mean, if you were just objectively watching teams over the past 2 months, you'd definitely have the Bengals as one of the top 3 in the AFC and you would definitely trust Burrow more than any other QB aside from Mahomes.
