I heard an interesting scenario on talk radio that I could actually see playing out.

Cardinals draft Kyler Murray to run their new spread offense.

Cardinals then trade Josh Rosen to the Giants.

Makes some sense to me.

#1. Bortles.
#2. Tannehill

Question gets a bit tricky after that. Going out on a limb and say...

#3. Mariota

Probably wait one more year on Dalton, Winston/Fitzmagic, Carr, and Eli

Foles on the Titans is a 12-4 team

Man...I was in step with you until this in bold.

If he has another 11 TD/8 INT season, you've gotta wonder if he's really gonna fetch that kind of money. I didn't realize how bad he's regressed over the past two seasons. Might not hurt for them to look for a pro-style QB to run that offense. With Lewis and Henry, they don't really need a mobile QB. Adding another WR in the draft would help a lot too.

If it's the same GM that drafted him...TN will try to keep him.

Those guys just don't want to admit failure until they are fired.

You're probably right, but it seems to make much more sense to, ya know, try not to get fired. Since they picked up his option already at north of $20m, they can't really go after another vet like Dalton or Tannehill, but it might not be the worst idea for them to look at someone like Ryan Finley or Stidham in the middle rounds to sit for a year and potentially compete in 2020.

They were 9-7 last year and 10-8 the year before. Its not hard to think that an upgrade at QB moves them into a SB contender

IIRC he was #2 overall...GMs will often go down in flames with their failed high draft pick. I think it was Scott Pioli that drafted Tyson Jackson #3...he was a bust in KC...but Scott felt so strongly about him...when he got the asst GM gig in ATL, he brought Jackson to ATL as a FA...of course he was a bust in ATL too.

lol.

A smart GM would realize that at some point you have to give up on a prospect or at least get somebody in the pipeline so I agree...a mid round pick at the position is not a bad idea at all.

I think Foles is an upgrade, but I also think Foles played with a very talented group in PHI...maybe they win another game or two, but TN needs more horses to get into a true contender role.

I think thats fair. Titans are very physical but they dont have a lot of consistency.

Not a whole lot separating the 4 teams in the AFC South, really. All of the teams have been stockpiling high draft picks for awhile but the Titans seem to have gotten the least from them.

I'm thinking Bortles and Tannehill are already foregone conclusions and obvious so I'll stick to the other ones. Mariota- Titans should be looking to the future. I think they have enough knowledge now to see he won't be the one taking them any further than where they are.
Winston- TB says they are sticking with him but I can't for the life of me see why. The kid has a tiny little pea bouncing around between the ears and has shown no signs that he is getting any smarter.
Carr- Not sure but seems like when he had the broken leg, the doctors mistakenly cut his nuts off. Raiders are fucked with the money they will be paying him. Maybe when they get to Vegas, they can be rebuilding and find a QB with some guts.
I would love to pile on Dalton but the Bungals have way bigger problems to deal with. Andy is capable, at least in the regular season.
The Giants need to find the heir apparent to Eli but for now they need to get what they can for one more season at least while they fix the Oline and D problems.
