why is the assumption being that being racist is in play ? economic life in the 50's after the war was pretty good and the collective standard of the people improved

Again dude, pretty good for who??

And being racist is in play because the majority of those that latched onto the whole Make America Great Again tended to be of an if not outright racist, rather arian leaning for the most part.

So by your logic if Mara called Dan and said, hey i just talked to BIll, we have decided Kaep is bad for business and shouldnt be given another opportunity. Then Dan in talking to Ozzie said, well I was talking to John...

to you thats not Collusion??

Interesting.

No because any one of them could say I am not involved. There is no deal. That was sharing information.

And thats what makes it a secret agreement. Even if informal, its still collusion.

Now will Kaep prove it?? Probably not. But again that is the normal with something that is a socially acceptable wrong, it can usually be easily explained away when people want to explain it away.

1. The government takes on that role and responsibility all the time by enacting and creating laws. By enforcing said laws.

2. There is also not a single law on the books designed to single out white people for being born white. But the next time you are pulled over and asked to prove your right to be in this country, please whip out your cell phone and record that moment for us.

3. I have asked you before, and I will ask again... Exactly what point does Make America Great again refer to getting back to?? What policies? Had he simply said make America Great, then yes it becomes a statement of intent. But by adding the word again, it implies that there are standards and ideals Trump wants to go BACK to.

1- The government does not get to control our views of each other, nor our interactions that don’t harm each other. A person has to be free to be a bigot because that is freedom.

2- Again, there isn’t a single law that helps white people...you can’t find one. I can find several that help minorities. Discrimination is a problem according to minorities but the only people discriminated against by law are white, straight, Christian men.

3- It is a slogan. It is a slogan aimed more towards the 80s than the 50s because Trump wants to be Reagan. The last time America was a leader on the world stage was the 80s. That racist Trump is so bad, the black community is prospering like no other time, as is the Hispanic community. If you want to see the biggest difference in races, don’t look at skin color...look at culture.

1. The government has been trying to tell us what to think and how to treat each other for years.

2. If the Government had not spent the majority of this countries existence writing laws to favor the superiority of those in power, we wouldnt now need laws to try and level the playing field and get rid of the good ole boys mentality.

3. It was a slogan carefully crafted to pander to that self same good ole boys club. And the biggest clue that the good ole boys club is alive and well is the fact that for a black man to be elected President, he had to be damn near above reproach. Trump is morally and socially reprehensible. And yet he was embraced with open arms primarily in some hopes that he would in fact undo everything Obama did.

1- That doesn’t make it right.

2- Again, you want to punish those who had nothing to do with the past. The role of government is not to discriminate based on perceived wrongs.

3- Obama was far from beyond reproach...he was a community organizer and that is how he ran his presidency. Trump is an ass. He was embraced because of his policies. He was embraced to undo the Obama mandates because the policies sucked and were not legal. Obama did things far worse than Tricky Dick.

1. But they still do it, and will continue to do it for the foreseeable future.

2. Please give me an example of you being punished or discriminated against because of your Skin color or perceived wrongs?? For that matter, please expand on the perceived wrongs the government was trying to correct??

3. Please tell me the last time Obama was implicated in conspiring with Americas enemies? Paid off a **** star. Or in underhanded or illegal business dealings?? Trump was embraced for what policies exactly?? Has he drained the swamp?? Has he even attempted to for that matter?? Thus far his crowning achievements have been to try and repeal the AHCA with no real viable replacement for it, and to pass a tax plan that will likely leave the next President in Dire straights.

@gkekoa for the record, efforts to end or correct long standing systematic discrimination against non whites does not automatically constitute discrimination against whites. BUt saying it does is a very convincing argument for trying to keep things the way they were or better still Make America the 1950s again.

1- of course they do and it has never been correct.

2- Any time a business is given an incentive to hire a minority, that is government promoting discrimination. Perceived wrongs is an incarceration rate that is higher than whites. It is possible blacks and Latinos commit more crimes. No I do not believe them committing more crime is because of skin color. Socioeconomics and culture play a bigger part.

3- Iran deal and allowing Hillary to sell to the Russians. Remember, “he will have more flexibility after the election.”

Who cares if he paid off a **** star, which he may not have had knowledge of, when it happened long before he was a politician? There are rumors out there Barry paid off a gay lover but who cares?

ACORN was a pretty shady deal.

There has been zero evidence of collusion which isn’t even a crime. Trump has never been convicted of a crime in business. The AHCA never should have been implemented. The tax plan has seen people getting large swaths of money...I am actually against the tax plan btw.

If Congress would actually do their jobs, perhaps we could get somewhere on immigration. So far Trump’s crowning achievement is with Korea...instead of starting a war, he actually may help bring peace. Then there is the embassy in Jerusalem which Congress passed long ago. He also pulled us out of the fake Iran deal. It is fake because Iran never signed it.

I would say the biggest success in 5e Trump presidency is he is actually doing the job of executing the laws passed by Congress. The actual job description of President.

Actually, any time you specifically reward one race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion by government regulation, you are discriminating or promoting the discrimination of another protected group.

Again, show me the 50s in the statement. The 80s is a much better description.

Black unemployment at an all time low. Hispanic unemployment at an all time low. I would imagine crime in those same communities is down as well because of the socioeconomic impact of having a job. Yep...sounds horrible.

Make America Great Again is a shot at Obama/Bush IMO. (who I believe will be looked at by historians as two of the worst 2 term presidents of the modern era)

At work I deal with these things called MBE (minority based enterprises) when dealing with government subsidized bids (NSLP - national school lunch program at schools for example). Anyway, any government subsidized bid REQUIRES that a % of the contract goes to an MBE.

There are instances where we literally pay an MBE 15% of the contract to retrieve the invoices and send them back to us. Its pretty insane actually. This 1 MBE literally just collects 15% of the contract for nothing. It was shocking to see there are quite a few MBEs out there that literally do not provide any service other then meeting the government requirement in the contract.

To me it doesnt seem right but thats my opinion from my perspective

Fast and Furious
Iran Deal

then there is the whole IRS targeting, AP wire tapping, VA debacle, Benghazi

Biggest scandal of them all IMO was the DNC and MSM collusion during the democratic primaries. That was downright treasonous. People should be in jail. Who gives a shit about who exposed it, that shouldnt be the story. The story should be about the scandal itself. Bernie Sanders should probably be the president right now for better or worse.

and yeah.... after Trump won I turned to everyone and said you have Obama to thank for that. You cant spend 8 years patronizing 50% of the population and pushing so far left and not expect there to be some sort of action when the polls opened.

I was a Paul Ryan, Rubio, and Romney supporter btw and was upset with a Trump presidency, but I have to admit hes doing a pretty good job. His war with the media is an important one and I have for the most part agreed with most of his foreign policies.

So basically the government trying to level the playing field and get rid of the good ole boys mentality is wrong. Got it. Because things were much better for every one when Senator Baynard (Name made up) would get elected, and farm most or all of the government contracts to his buddy Bubba at over inflated prices, and a Minority company was not even given the chance to bid on the work.

The irony of this entire situation is that now White Heterosexual Christian males are actually feeling that they are being discriminated against and that it is wrong, when this country was built on discriminating against minorities. So things are equal enough now and we need to get back to the way things were??

By the way, of those contracts that now HAVE to go to minority owned companies, how much of the work is that?? 10, 15%?? The horror of the government having to force competitive business practices.

In 2016 the NSLP cost the government $13.6 billion. If over $2 billion of that money is required to go to an MBE as part of the programs requirements dont you think an audit would be a fair and reasonable thing as a way to evaluate or perhaps reevaluate some of the requirements. Not all cases nationally of course, but from what I have come across in my experience 100% of the cases I've dealt with is just an enterprise created to cash government checks.

Again though, you are taking issue with the government trying to level the playing field after two centuries of good ole boys mentality. And you find ISSUE with this?? This country has had the last 100 years to get past the whole idea that blacks, Asians and Hispanics are some how less than their white counter parts. Wehn left to do it without being told, society by and large was completely ok with things like segregation, Jim crow and such. I really wish the government didnt have to put laws in place to say, if a non white person is capable of the job, you cant turn him down for the job based on his skin color. I really wish they government didnt have to monitor how many non whites a company had on the pay roll.

But history has proven, when no one is watching, people will take the easiest route and do tend to make decisions based on prejudices that shouldnt be determining factors in hiring.

What? I don't have an issue with a level playing field in theory but is it really happening in practice?

You are right though... when no one is watching people will take the easiest route to the tune of <$2 billion. My gripe is that they aren't providing any service. Is that an unreasonable gripe? I dont see a playing field leveled, instead I see a dependency building.
