And there is the problem I have. When I asked you why now, if your response was because he is the one in office now and I am putting a stake in the ground going forward that all elected politicians who do not live up to their campaign commitments should be subject to a wide sweeping and open ended congressional investigation and let the evidence lead where it may, then I am 100% behind you. But if you pick out just one to do this to, well.........

No no you have my position incorrect. EVERY politician lies, i get that. They all make promises they can't fulfill. However I am not holding Trump to a higher standard, I have high expectation for our leader and am critical when it's warranted. I was critical of Bush for his no new taxes promise, I've been critical of Hillary during the campaign as well as Obama in the past. For example I thought his decision to release terrorist in a prisoner swap was terribly wrong and said so. I felt at the time that Bill Clinton should have been impeached for looking me in the eye and lying to me.

But I again go back to the fact that Trump is the topic and Trump is now the President. I'm not holding him to a higher standard, I'm simply discussing the current President and not Presidents in the past because we are discussing President Trump.

And I see nothing wrong with wanting to make sure our current leader is not breaking the laws. I am also calling him out for his campaign promises that were broken because it is justified. In this case it wasn't a promise he was unable to fulfill such as no new taxes, no in this case he did it willingly and knew all along his drain the swamp of corruption promise was a total crock of shit as he was bringing in a gang of criminals.

Using the word “shithead absolutely applies according to others. You see...it is called an opinion and usually involves bias. I have called Obama names and I have called Trump names...at least it shows a bit less bias in my case.

You didn’t throw a hissy fit over the transcripts like you are the taxes though. That is where your hypocrisy sets in.

That's because transcripts are not as important as looking at the tax return of a President under fire for questionable business dealings. I really can't believe you are comparing the two. Wanna go with the Obama Birth Certificate debacle? I can have a field day with that seeing as Trump came off as a total ass clown over that one.

I just put this on the Politics Board and thought I'd post it here too so maybe you guys will understand why I feel as I do as it appears as if I'm singling President Trump out unfairly:

See here's the thing with Trump that you need to understand. It goes way beyond politics and a difference of opinion concerning policy. I disagreed with most of the GOP Presidents with regard to their agenda. But I never personally disliked any of them. The Bushes were good people, as was Reagan. And I thought so at the time they held office just as I felt Obama was a good man trying his best to help people. But Trump is different. IMO he is a horrible human being and it disgusts me that he is representing me and my country to the world. I am ashamed that a man who behaves as he does speaks for American today.

So yeah @Gman was right, I was not like this before Trump came on the scene. Once we elected a man who brags about grabbing pussies everything changed. Now I have a President who is not only unfit for the job IMO but he's a total POS as well. So yeah I'm more critical of him than I would be had Ted Cruz won the election.

I know you don't agree but can you at least understand this from my perspective?

I didn’t vote for Trump because he was a choir boy .

What I do look at is what was the alternative . A socialist who enriched herself by selling favors through a charity .

A person who cares so little about our country it’s too inconvenient to safe guard our secrets .

People who leave Americans to die during an attack to win an election and then covered it up by deleting the evidence

A man who weaponnized the IRS to suppress an opposition party

A man who weaponized the DOJ and FBI to illegally spy on an oppositions campaign

A man who jailed a dissenter for campaign contributions violations that Rosey O donnell did on a far greater scale simply because he made unflattering films about him . Notice our current president hasn’t retaliated

A man who ran off a whistle blower to another country because he exposed illegal spying by our govt

And you know what disgusts me ? A compliant media in the tank for one side . That video you speak of was held up for 8 months so it could do the most damage . When I watch Fox News, and I do, I heard the same partial "reporting" on Obama or Trump that you hear with regard to Trump from the MSM. I see Trump's personal friend, a guy he talks with constantly in Sean Hannity, report with every bit as much bias as the MSM displays as he defends Trump and attacks the left every day. I hear the conservative radio hosts say the exact words you are posting, your view is no doubt shaped by their equally biased reporting.

How is that any different than Lester Holt reporting on President Trump's behavior?

Most libs don't want the election results overturned, that's nonsense. We simply feel a hostile foreign government's interference in our election to be pretty serious, I would think every American would feel that way but that's obviously not the case, and to make sure one of the campaigns were not aware and/or involved.
