Actually, it wasn’t. According to Jefferson, he may not have approved of the practice, but it was not necessarily a violation. Also, even today, children are free to pray in school and nobody can stop them from doing so.

Yes, in more modern times. I love how the SCOTUS likes to change history of the people who actually wrote it. That being said, I agree it should not be required. I agree, it should not even be led by the school. I disagree that a teacher should not be allowed to bow his head in prayer if it doesn’t disrupt the class.

Jefferson made the intent clear, there's no disputing this! Even you have given a little ground when you wrote..." According to Jefferson, he may not have approved of the practice, but it was not necessarily a violation." This doesn't appear to support you initial words, "Actually, it wasn’t."

Should is key...we are sinners and fall short. I sin all the time...way more than I want to or should. Should does bring up a factual point in religion. We all fall short of the glory of God. It isn’t hypocrisy to say you shouldn’t sin, then you go and sin, if you admit to being a sinner...if you don’t want to be a sinner.

I didn’t wish death on them because they are illegal. On numerous occasions I have stated they are doing what each of us would do, even if it is wrong. I have stated that death is a deterrent.

I also don’t view death like you do.

Once again, I'm NOT a sinner, I don't do made up shit like that!

BTW: "should" is conditional, not factual, just as religion is NOT factual. It is based on belief, not fact!

Do you lie? According to divine law, you are a sinner. It doesn’t matter what you believe.

Should is an expectation. It is a fact that we SHOULD not murder each other according to divine law, but we do.

You believe religion is not factual. I agree that not every part of every religion is factual. I disagree that some parts of religion are not fact.

Do you believe Christ died on the cross? I do believe this is a fact. I could be wrong and literally never know. You can’t prove he didn’t.

Do you believe Christ rose from the dead? I do believe this is fact. Again, I could be wrong and never know. You can’t prove he didn’t.

Or, I could be right.

Jefferson made the intent clear in the Constitution. There shall be no state religion. This does not mean that state officials cannot be religious. Jefferson wasn’t alone in signing the Constitution into law. Like I said, if it was viewed as illegal, the rest of the people who signed it wouldn’t have allowed the practice to go on for 200 years.

Or, I could be right.

1.Do you lie? According to divine law, you are a sinner. It doesn’t matter what you believe.

Ans: So I should believe and then convince myself that it doesn't matter what I believe?

2. Should is an expectation. It is a fact that we SHOULD not murder each other according to divine law, but we do.
Ans: We agree, it's conditional.

3. You believe religion is not factual. I agree that not every part of every religion is factual. I disagree that some parts of religion are not fact.

Ans: Once more religion is based on belief, not fact. Your belief that part of every religion is factual has to give you pause when realizing that there are people who BELIEVE that those parts that you believe to be factual others don't, even those who share your religious bend.

4. Do you believe Christ died on the cross? I do believe this is a fact. I could be wrong and literally never know. You can’t prove he didn’t.

Ans: I can prove that nobody named "Jesus" died on any cross! The letter "J" didn't come into language until sometime near 1540.

5. Do you believe Christ rose from the dead? I do believe this is fact. Again, I could be wrong and never know. You can’t prove he didn’t.

Ans: Nope! How do you crush interpretation by writing, " I do believe this is fact"

Here are a few of my hopes based on recent things said by democrats...

1- The 70% of Jews that vote democrat, turn 100% republican. The Democratic Party has shown its true colors by endorsing what a Jew would call an anti-semites.

2- Women realize that the democratic support of the transgender movement actually hurts women’s rights.

3- Muslims realize that freedom of religion and the LGBT community cannot coexist.

4- Latinos realize that Catholicism, abortion, and freedom of religion can not coexist.

5- That black people realize democrats don’t actually see them as equals. They see them as puppets.

6- liberals stop breeding because of global warming. This is my personal favorite.

They weren't perfect people by any stretch of the imagination. Acceptable "norms" at the time also change over time. The constitution is supposed to be a living, breathing document and as such, like all living things, subject to change. Unless you're someone who follows the late justice Scalia, who famously said that the constitution is dead...dead...dead, then we move on, as before, making corrections as we become more enlightened.

1- You are either a sinner or you are not. Your belief does not matter in fact. If you lie, then you are a sinner. It doesn’t matter if you believe lying is a sin.

2- The word should is not conditional. It simply means that is what we are supposed to do, but we fall short.

3- When we have a disagreement on something, not based on opinion, one of us is right and the other is wrong...or we both could be wrong. That doesn’t change the actual fact. You see the Gospel as belief. I see the Gospel as fact and a part of written history. Luke was an actual historian.

4- would you rather Yeshua? This was likely his birth name at the time.

5- I believe 2+2=4 is a fact. Theoretically, I could be wrong. You crushed nothing.

It is a living, breathing document and can be changed. It can be changed by the specific rules set forth by the document itself.

Study
The catholic religion sty and you will see the foolishness of this . You are totally wrong . Ash wed marks the begining
Of lent for Catholics . We have the right to practice our religions In this country and that’s like asking a Muslim to remove a habib

First of all a Habib is generally a persons NAME. It means beloved in Arabic.

I think you meant a Hijab, and Muslims are asked to remove them all the time. Hell there was even talk of a resolution to ban Ilhan from wearing it in congress chambers. The poor persecuted catholics in this instance. Wonder if they will start referring to them as dot heads as some Americans tend to refer to people of INdian heritage?

Wouldn’t cross heads be more appropriate? Who really cares?

As for the hijab, people should be free to wear them, just as they should be free to wear hoodies, carry guns, be gay, and so much more. Too many things in this country have become criminalized when we should simply blame the people.

Here's my wish list...

That all of the above go independent!

70% of U.S. "Jews" aren't crazy enough to go republican. They much like their cafeteria Christian counterparts pick and choose what they will or will not follow religiously. Politically, that 70% is more socially liberal than republicans will ever put up with and allow in their party. The only hope is a change in political ideals. This is NOT out of the question as both political parties have changed over time.

You're suggesting that women turn against transgendered in favor of the party that wants to control choices that they have over their own bodies and in some cases lives. Sharia law anyone?

Religion is Bullshit!

African Americans aren't crazy either! What difference does it make if unequal treatment comes from a group bearing an "R" or a "D?" Historically, they go with the least horrible.

SN: that won't change until we take over and do to the current majority what has been done to them historically:D...I know this to be a fear and I'm just kidding. We're far better than that!

You're being silly about global warming, it's called "climate change" and every creditable scientist on the planet confirms that it's real. ONLY, disturbed people like 45 says baseless things like, "We certainly can use some global warming" on a cold day!

Just because the spin machine on the right says this exact talking point, doesnt make it so.

Or....

Just because YOU tend to repeat the same talking points you see on crazy right wing forums doesnt make it truth.

The TRUTH is that many on the left see Obama as the most scrutinized president in history, and there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that’s correct.

“Most scrutinized,” is subjective to begin with.

What isnt subjective is the amount of indictments that have been secured under the orange moron, of people really really close to the dumbdumb in chief, after he has led a life of lying to others, cheating others, and generally bring a despicable human being.
Your lack of knowledge on the subject shows

Actually, more and more scientists are disputing it. You only want to listen to those with your ideal. Why am I being silly? That is exactly what some liberal women are saying now. At least they would be doing their part to save the planet from human beings. It is the new vogue thing to say.

As whole debate regarding climate change, it is ever changing on the left. First, the world would end by the year 2000. Then millions would die from famine. Then there would be no more ice caps by 2000. Then they changed the name to climate change because global warming was bullshit. Then there would be no more oil on the planet by 2020. Now, AOC claims the world will end in 12 years. Try this...
