He is never viewed under his own merits . The excuse making argument holds no water . No president has been subjected to this kind of scrutiny period . And we gave evidence of the DOJ and the FBI under Obama trying to do exactly that , overturn an election because they didn’t like the result

Agreed, he isn't viewed through his own merit, maybe it's time for supporters to begin doing that!

See my just posted response to @dad. Oh and that's FEDERAL Government

Nah...just respond to what I wrote. I know of Jefferson’s letter. Let me ask you this. Why was prayer not only allowed but fully expected in schools for 200 years? Don’t you think the framers would have stopped it if it were a violation?

It is completely fair, not partially.

Oh, you are right. The word terrorist is not a one way street. You are free to call everybody you want a terrorist and free to deal with them in whatever manner you want, just like every country is capable doing. Let other countries refer to us as terrorists and deal with us in whatever manner they want, just like we will. Just understand there are repercussions for doing so.

Didn't you attempt to lecture me on being like the Christ? Wow!!

How was I not? I simply said you were free to call whoever you want a terrorist just like every country can. Just understand there are repercussions. Not seeing what you are saying at all with this.

I also never lectured you on being like Christ.

You're right those EXACT words aren't there, however, if you get a chance to read Jefferson's clarifying letter that sheds light on intent. The intent has been held constitutionally enforceable almost since its inception. Here's the letter.

...and this might help as well.

Is "Separation of Church and State" in the Constitution?

Too bad ole Jeff didn’t put it in the constitution as written. Better yet it talks about establishing a STATE religion

It should have been. No-one should be forced to worship.

Just because the spin machine on the right says this exact talking point, doesnt make it so.

Or....

Just because YOU tend to repeat the same talking points you see on crazy right wing forums doesnt make it truth.

The TRUTH is that many on the left see Obama as the most scrutinized president in history, and there’s plenty of evidence to suggest that’s correct.

“Most scrutinized,” is subjective to begin with.

What isnt subjective is the amount of indictments that have been secured under the orange moron, of people really really close to the dumbdumb in chief, after he has led a life of lying to others, cheating others, and generally bring a despicable human being.

It was in violation of federal law, prayer in schools was kind of a state thing that became more tradition than anything else for the unenlightened for 200 years. When challenged in more modern times the SC held that In the United States, school prayer cannot be required of students in accordance with the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

C'mon man you know this!

Sounds like you didn't get that raise last year. Maybe this year.

Doing just fine, thank you very much.

You’re gonna have to come up with a different narrative, chooch.

Also, Jefferson wasn’t the only person needed to approve and interpret the US Constitution. He was merely the writer and many of the thoughts that were written weren’t really Jefferson’s.

It was, they just never thought to challenge it until more modern times and when challenged the SC ruled that In the United States, school prayer cannot be required of students in accordance with the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. You know that constitution that doesn't actually say "separation of church and state" but has been proven to be its intent. Damn, these guys will argue established fact!

Actually, it wasn’t. According to Jefferson, he may not have approved of the practice, but it was not necessarily a violation. Also, even today, children are free to pray in school and nobody can stop them from doing so.

Yes, in more modern times. I love how the SCOTUS likes to change history of the people who actually wrote it. That being said, I agree it should not be required. I agree, it should not even be led by the school. I disagree that a teacher should not be allowed to bow his head in prayer if it doesn’t disrupt the class.

What narrative is that? That you haven't added one iota of original thought to these discussions, nor even support for your positions? All that I have seen are cute little digs. Way to add to the discussion. We all are now more enlightened.

I will agree with you. Obama was the most scrutinized POTUS before Trump came along. Bush was the most scrutiniz3d before Obama. Technology is very much the culprit here.

I even stood up for Obama a few times, such as the bow. Here is where you refuse to admit the difference. Had Trump led F&F, the Benghazi lies, or had it been liberal groups targeted by the IRS with IRS officials pleading the fifth and proven communication between the IRS and Trump, you would be screaming for the death penalty. You would be calling him treasonous and a criminal.

What do you mean failing to live it? If we win, you say we are failing to live it? Christ would say sinning is human but go and sin no more.

Those days are simply symbolic. Everyday, we should strive to be more like Him. Everyday, we should repent.

You may be against other people who don’t share the same spiritual journey as you do...how very bigoted of you.

Here are your key word..."should" Notice I didn't equivocate when I wrote about failing to live it, why because if that were the case we would already be a much better country. YOU use "should" as if that makes some factual point. It doesn't! It does however, highlight the hypocrisy of the very real lives of those who spout this BS and practice something opposite. You yourself has on numerous occasions wished death on people because you deemed them "illegal." How is that trying to be just like 'him?"

Should is key...we are sinners and fall short. I sin all the time...way more than I want to or should. Should does bring up a factual point in religion. We all fall short of the glory of God. It isn’t hypocrisy to say you shouldn’t sin, then you go and sin, if you admit to being a sinner...if you don’t want to be a sinner.

I didn’t wish death on them because they are illegal. On numerous occasions I have stated they are doing what each of us would do, even if it is wrong. I have stated that death is a deterrent.

I also don’t view death like you do.
