No you can not see my tax returns because I am not running for President and I'm not the one campaigning with a promise of "transparency" as Trump has. If you talk the talk you need to walk the walk.

Considering all of Trump's baggage, and given how every major party candidate with the exception of Ford over the last 40 years (even crooks like the Clinton's) have released their tax returns, of course it raises questions when Trump refused to release his tax returns and then lied about the reason. Is Trump only nominee in 40 years not to release taxes?

Note I said candidate not President. So that's a whole lot of people who were willing to release their returns. Why won't Trump? Of course that is a legitimate question to ask.
He doesn't want to release them for the same reason you don't want to release them. Its a very private matter. No matte what anyone else has done.

Where is it mandated that tax returns must be made public? If a candidate doesn't release them and you don't like it, don't vote for him/her. but you can't start a congressional inquiry because he doesn't.
again, what are you looking for? Or, more to the point, what is Nancy Pelosi looking for? Why does she need them? You can't answer that, can you? Here's why. She is fishing with this demand. You know and i know it. And that is a slippery slope that there is no coming back from. Fortunately, her demand is not going to be met unless she has compelling evidence that suggests fraud has been committed and these returns are needed to vet it out.

Again it's the optics. Why you can't see the difference between a man running for President under the claim of "transparency" and my situation as a private citizen who is not running for public office is bizarre. Not even close to the same situation, I am not running for public office and I'm sure not campaigning under a promise of total transparency.

Again EVERY every candidate but one in the last 40 years, this has to be hundreds of people, released their returns without reservation. When one refuses, and again LIES about the reasons, of course it raised questions. Just what is he hiding is a completely understandable question to ask. I'm not sure why we are even debating this.

It is politics. But the campaign is over. It makes no difference what other candidates have done. He chose his campaign strategy and apparently it was a winning strategy. Get over it. Oh, BTW, he is a huge liar. That we agree on. He is not alone in this tho, is he?

So why does she need them now? Does this not bother you on any level? That the leader of the House of Representatives is not focused on governing but on retaliation? She doesn't have one scintilla of evidence to suggest he has committed any irregularity with his taxes. Not one. You have defended the Mueller investigation as taking it where the evidence goes. How you can defend this Pelosi demand is beyond me. What evidence is she pursuing? Please answer that.

DGF, I am not defending the man, I am defending his rights. And your rights, and my rights. This is how our rights a have slowly been eroded over the last century.

There are serious questions about his foreign business dealings. Hell there are serious questions about a number of his business dealings. That's why there are questions that need answers. And again you refuse to acknowledge that he won votes with a promise of transparency. Well when put to the test he refused to back his promise, then lied about the reason. Yeah I gotta problem with that and so should you. I expect more from our President but with Trump the level of acceptable behavior has dropped to levels I hope are never seen again.

When you run for public office you lose a lot of the privacy you and I enjoy, you are also held to much higher public scrutiny. Had I had an affair that would be between me and my wife. With Gary Hart it torpedoed his Presidential bid, with Clinton it lead to his impeachment. And everyone understood why. Trump never got that message, again he prefers to play by his own rules and that's not acceptable either.

I don't refuse to acknowledge it. I agree with you he is a liar. As I have said numerous times, I do not support him and hope and pray the GOP can find a candidate that can run against him and win. But it is not about him, its about our rights as citizens. And its about our government leadership using their position to exact revenge on someone they just plain don't like.

The IRS has his tax returns and I can promise you they were scrutinized when he announced his plans to run. Mueller is investigating his foreign dealings. And as you have pointed out, the investigation will go where the evidence takes it. Mueller has not requested these returns and he very well could. Why not? Because the evidence doesn't lead him there.

So I ask again, what does Nancy Pelosi want with his returns?

Again the IRS is simply looking for compliance to the tax laws. They have no interest in learning just who he is doing business with. We now have evidence that some of his business dealings may have some questions that need answering. And again the President of the United States is held to a higher standard than the general public.

Do we know for sure that Mueller did not request his tax returns? As for Pelosi Trump started this war on the Dems, it was the crux of his entire successful campaign. You know the same campaign where he promised to drain the swamp and then proceeded to bring in a gang of crooks?

So he has no right to cry about it when they respond.

He is not crying, I am (well, maybe he is). But I am not willing to sacrifice my right guaranteed to me by our Constitution just to bring down someone I abhor. The way you hold politicians to a higher standard is through your vote, not through violating our guaranteed rights.

Mueller has the ability to get what ever he needs. He doesn't have to ask. He has access to subpoenas where he can demand them. But he has to prove before a Judge that they have material facts in them that will shed light on his investigation. These subpoena requests are made public. He has not submitted a request for this information.

Again, I ask, what does Nancy Pelosi want with his returns?

Don't you see that these type of actions by Pelosi just lend credibility to those that claim this whole situation is a which hunt?

No I don't see it as a witch hunt at all. Again we are talking about the President of the United States, that title comes with certain expected behavior. We are talking about a person with a long history of questionable behavior, his charity was shut down for misuse of funds, he has been sued countless times for shady business dealings.

There is nothing wrong what so ever with making sure our President is on the up and up. And again I would think you would feel this way as well. If he has done nothing wrong then he has nothing to hide. Being the first candidate since Gerald Ford to hide his tax returns from public scrutiny certainly suggests he has something to hide and I won't apologize for wanting that looked at.

Of course you don't. You want him out at all costs. There is the difference between you and I. I cherish my rights more than I do my desire to bring him down.

Far left zealot Eugene Robinson of the Washington Post writes a column asking whether American voters are too “stupid” to see Trump’s mistakes. Maybe better question is are American voters smart enough to see how radical left Robinson and his crew really are?

Nah I don't want him out at all costs. I have said repeatedly that I'll accept the finding whatever is found, something the Trump supports obviously refuse to do. When the President has so many things in play, from his corrupt foundation and university and too many others to list here, I think it is perfectly reasonable that the American public has the right to know that our leader is not a criminal.

I am not proposing illegal actions to obtain this information is acceptable, last time I checked asking the President to release his tax returns as all the others have is not an illegal activity. It is simply being transparent, something he promised and something all other Presidents knew was part of the job.

Again, he’s the smartest man in the room. He’s got these idiots still focusing on his tax returns instead of their actual jobs. Therefore, Americans get to see how looney and hypocritical the left is.

Democrat Adam Schiff’s team prepped Cohen for more than 10 hours before his public testimony before the House Oversight Committee.

Now how does that go down at all ? You tamper with a witness as head of the committee and call that fair ? Ethical?

And we have saps defending this as a legit investigation . Why tamper with a witness if the investigation is legit or the accusations stemming from it are legit ?

Yet we have people buying this crap because they are foolish or blinded by trump hate . Or they want one world socialism and don’t have the sac to say it

Who are these trump supporters you cite? Any on this board? Ask them point blank if evidence comes out that trump committed a crime, what they think should happen. You might be surprised.

Dad, GK, libhater, others that are supportive of trump, care to comment?

1. Steve Bannon is a self avowed white nationalist. Thats fact. Stephen Miller would be more opinion based on his words and behaviors.

2. You are right, skin tone shouldn't have jack to do with it. But to say it doesnt is self deluding on the grandest of scales. YOu are one for law and order. Where is the justice in Paul Manafort getting just over three years for his laundry list of crimes he was found guilty of. Crystal Mason got five years for voting while on probation. Aside from their respective sex's what was the major difference in them?? Because they threw the book at her.

BUt I digress. All cultures are capable of living together in peace. As far as all cultures being equal, probably not. But proclaiming your culture is better than one you have no real knowledge of, and have been taught/raised to despise is rather self serving.

3. The cage is always more comfortable for the top dog. And while I agree that if another country were attacking us, the government would have every right to defend itself. But we arent under attack, we are just facing something that most civilization has faced at one time or another, natural demographic change. Not to be confused with armed hostile invasions. And rail as he might ot try and call the change in America an Invasion.... thats not what this is.

1- I believe Bannon refers to himself as a white nationalist because he is white and believes in US sovereignty. The left has changed that term to mean exactly what it doesn’t mean.

2- I have never said skin tone doesn’t matter on individual interaction. I believe blacks and whites treat each other far differently depending on situation. I also believe this is fine because liberty is the most important thing. I also believe the only way to get rid of racial bias is to allow the world to continue to grow. Honestly, I believe groups using words such as white privilege does far more to breed contempt than what used to exist.

See, I disagree on culture. Like I said, if a culture is taught that homosexuality is punishable by death, that culture can’t coexist with the homosexuality community. Not all Muslims belong to the same community. I am not saying our culture is superior...I am saying it is superior for what we value.

3- Exactly. The top dog is always more comfortable and race doesn’t matter in being the top dog...see Obama, Michael Jordan, Ben Carson, Lebron, etc.

I disagree with you when you say we aren’t under attack. Can we agree that America has a unique culture as a whole compared to Mexico as a whole? Can we also agree that people coming from all of South America influence the US culture towards their ways as more come?

I would also say illegal migration is not a natural demographic shift. If the demographics of the US were changing by birth rates and death rates, I would call that a natural shift. Importation of a demographic is not natural.

Why is the POTUS expected to release his tax returns but you are not? There is no legal requirement for this. Also, his lawyers, and likely the IRS during an audit, would likely like to keep their audit private.

Being the only POTUS in forty years not to do something doesn’t matter. It is not a requirement.

Trump was the only one being audited at the time is probably the best answer.

Again, you follow legal advice, even as a lawyer. A lawyer that represents himself has a fool for a client.

Was he the only candidate being audited? Are there people who get audited who have done nothing wrong?

What lies has he told about not releasing his taxes?
