I was in the middle of writing a post about how I don't think that'd be a good idea, but I have to admit it'd be tempting. I have no idea what he'd get on the open market though...

I wish a WR of Dockett's caliber were cut instead like maybe Sidney Rice or Santonio Holmes. One of those guys could make the hurt of not having Crabby for most of the season a lot less painful.

I'm sure Dockett could play the nose on passing downs. He could fill the role I'm hoping Richard Seymour ends up filling on the Niners this season (swing DE & passing-down NT). NT is one of the thinnest positions on the team.
