Plate blocking rule

It's not something that I thought they needed to do, but on that play with Gwynn that was pretty much the definition of "blocking the plate". I don't care if Schmidt doesn't like it, it's the rule and Gwynn was safe.

We need final reviews of play reviews. The umpires are not bright enough to study the rules and come prepared to act.

I agree. It's bad enough that they fucked the call up twice, but listening to Schmidt bitch non-stop about what a bunch of pansies baseball players have turned into was cruel and unusual punishment.
