I've seen two 3rd periods and two OTs. The Jackets win whenever I watch.

You gonna come take my TV, Dare? ;)

For each one he takes, I will bring you 3.

It doesn't matter who is in net, this team is a hot lazy mess. Play for 5 minutes, relax for 55.

I think that 12 of their fourteen goals have come in around 10 minutes of game time. Estimation on my part, but each game has been 3 goal outbursts in short order.

And since we're doing gifs

Seriously I am with Pix Fleury should play, yeah he f-'ed up royally but they should play him. If he gives up 4 goals on 5 shots to start the game then you pull him, otherwise play him.

Now if Dan Byslma could learn to adjust in a playoff game that would be great. Now I am starting to wonder what was the point to bring in Jacques Martin to help out with? I guess it is to help coach them to a first round loss (Side NOTE: His 12 coaching appearances 7 he lost in the first round).

What if he gives up 3 goals on 7 shots?

Nice editing work by The USA Today on tonight's game - "The puck bounced over his puck and Columbus’ Ryan Johansen fed Brandon Dubinsky for the tying goal with 22.5 seconds left."

Three Penguins were out of position on that goal, too, and any of them could have kept that puck from getting to Dubinsky's stick.

Fleury is why we're tied in this series. He's why we still had a 3-2 lead at that point in the game.

Why Byslma didn't go to the neutral zone clog he used in the second half of the third after our third goal is beyond me. We didn't need to score anymore. Just make them force the puck to move it up the ice and try to generate off their mistakes. It almost worked even after we let them score two goals and get back into the game, when they had all the momentum. Imagine how effective it would have been while they were down and frustrated.

On the plus side, we didn't go up 3-1 in the series, so there's still a chance we win.

I agree that Fleury has been decent so far. And if this game was an anomaly, I would keep going with him.

But it's not. He was horrible against Montreal in Game 7, 2010. He was fine in 2011, but nobody expected us to go far without 87 or 71, there was no pressure. Pressure back on in 2012, and he has the worst post-season goalie performance of all time. Pressure on again last year, and he starts falling apart against the Isles, overplaying pucks and letting bank shots in left and right. And now this year, once again, he starts strong, but then has a brainfart miscue and you could see his confidence evaporate.

My wife barely knows a thing about hockey, and even she could tell he was fighting the puck in overtime. No confidence. It was just a matter of time. And nothing in the last four post-seasons tells me there's any chance of MAF regaining his confidence. I hope I'm wrong, because with our defence, we're not going far without stellar goaltending.

Honestly, I'd start Game 5 with the same trap they employed the last 10 minutes, the Pens had a decent amount of chances in that span, and if done correctly renders a lot of what CLB does of the forecheck useless.

The Pens are a relatively small team, why continue to play into the hands of an interior but bigger team by playing to their strengths and constantly let them crush your d-men? Trap and counter attack with speed and aggression.

From a fellow goalie's point of view, I think MAF has a very clear understanding of the D in front of him. I don't think his issue is a lack of confidence, I think it's a "I have/want to be the difference" state of mind. Both often lead to the same result, but I can't say he has no confidence. He's not making bad plays, but he's making plays with the mindset that his D is not going to come through the front and clear anything out for him. Or one is going to turn looking for a break, leaving his partner outnumbered behind the net.

On the tying goal, it was clear that the Jackets were going to beat the Pens to the puck, and he had exactly 3 milliseconds to decide what to do, and it went wrong for him (ask any goalie. It usually does). But in my mind if he has no confidence, he curls under the crossbar and points to his left where the puck is going. I gave my son a coaching lesson right there in the family room. Had MAF got his pads against the boards and not tried to stop it with only his stick, it's a 3-1 series. That's the margin of error we work with.

On the winner, Foligno crossed the line and looked like he was going to go down the boards and cut in, so Fluery set up on the right side of Niskanen. Nick shot quicker than anyone expected and MAF went with him, but he was still off a smidge and the knuckler got by him. But he was on top of his crease, square (relatively) and just missed a tiny bit. His style and his D's style just aren't meshing right now.

The Pens need more Scuderi's and less Letangs, or Fleury needs to just lay back and let the D handle everything.

By the way, they interviewed Wiz and he said that as they were coming back into the room after tying in regulation Nick stood in the middle of the room and asked if anyone minded if he went out and scored the game winner, because he "wanted to".

I love that guy.

When they asked Foligno about it later he just said "I say crap like that all the time. I can't believe it actually worked."

I mean REALLY love that guy.
