It looked off to me, and obviously to Byrd, but not to the only guy whose opinion mattered.

Wacha's playing that hard fastball well off his change so far. That's what's making the Pirates late. They're worried about his changeup.

he just called the same pitch to martine and bermes a ball that he punched byrd out on.

then morton drops a great curveball on the lefty for a K.

I liked the high fastball to Molina. With Morton, hitters are looking down. He got the ball up, and Molina ended up being just far enough under it.

54 pitches through 4 innings. just get past jay and inning 5 will be a breeze.

i would get wilson up in the 5th to just play catch if things fall off quick in the 6th.

now a run would be pretty cool.

That curve is really working today.

morton was big against another Lefty with 2 RISP.
that is an awesome confidence builder and mo mover.

lets go meat and productive part of the lineup - cutch.

do you hit for morton if we have 2 out, 2 on and 1 in this inning.

I can't help but think that regardless of the outcome in this series, this is going to turn into a pretty big rivalry going forward given how well each organization has been run lately and the age of the talent

This should be the start of a pretty good window for us

Man, Morton couldn't get any of those pitches called strikes. If he was missing, it was barely.

Wacha is starting to have trouble locating the change up.... It is a small thing.. but in a tight game like this it might be the difference.

So far Morton has been all we could ever have hoped for and more..

Kind of upset that Pedro was swinging on a 3-0 pitch...Make him throw a couple of strikes or something...LOL When it is 3-0 you wait for your pitch.. not anything close..
