Raise it again! I hope the home crowd gets into Wainwright and he has an off game. Not sure if others would agree but the atmosphere now vs back in the early 90's is way better in PNC vs Three Rivers. It is amazing what a real baseball park can do.

is wainright definite for game 4. hopefully he will be out of comfort zone with only 3 days rest, BP early and they cont todays choke, and PNC is alive and popping for an afternoon start.
these home day starts really undermine the homefield electricity to some extent.

that is great and we have cole and everybody on a day off going in game 5 if necessary

Don't think it has yet. It will be interesting to see Wacha vs Morton out there in an elimination game due to lack of experience.

Just watched the rest had to work 2nd shift today :(

Off tommorow though :D

Nice to grab the lead back everytime they tied it up, I think we might have some mojo going, and I think Justin might be getting hot, love the running up of pitch counts/obp/defense at first.

Last I saw was Wacha vs Morton, I have to say our home field is different from most others. Its some combo of hockey/football feel that isnt matched by others imho, damn cant believe this is happening.

Morton isnt dog crap, he can get us through 5/6 if he has his good stuff.

The Doobster is very impressed by the way the Bucs have handled themselves so far against the Cards. I had a very bad feeling about this series going in, but now I believe. We are family :suds:

Anything can happen... but Morton has been fantastic down the stretch... We talked about it in another thread... He had a 10 start stretch where he had 8 quality starts for the bucs.

He is well rested... I am expecting him to be dominant...

Morton will be effective as long as he has command of his curve. He can't expect to throw his curve way outside the zone and expect the Cards players to chase...they are too disciplined for that. He also can't serve up hanging softies either, so there is a pretty tight window there for him to be on.

What was up with the strike zone yesterday?! I'll give a little bit of credit for it staying consistent, but man.......... Not sure what to expect today.

I didn't even think it was consistent. Well, it was consistently amorphous....

I think part of the problem was that it seemed that the pitch trax was shifted to the left. Balls that were clearly off to the right of the plate according to the graphic where consistently called strikes, while some that caught the left side of the strike zone graphic were called balls. The ump was calling a rather liberal strike zone, too. I think it was a combination of the two.

By consistent I mean that both teams were dealing with a terrible strike zone.
