:pound:More like 12-4. I can see loses to the Broncos and a loss to the Dolphins. This D sucks. We can't stop the run. Ajayi is a beast.

Well..
I'm still hoping the Barbara K Mingo can actually step in and play a few meaningful downs and that maybe Van Joy can get on the field and show he was worth trading for.

Did Bill give a third for each of these guys?
Same as he got for Collins?

Or fourths???

Although the Pats' record coming out of a bye week is very good, I also know that they often appear sluggish and lethargic as well. I was nervous coming into this game because of that. The D was not very aggressive. On offense, the Pats had no outside running threat with Lewis inactive. I would love to have seen him on a sweep during that last goal line sequence. All that being said, the next three games are against very weak teams and it would be considered a major upset if they weren't 10-2 after these games. Then they have tough games against the Ravens and Broncos on successive weeks. I look for no worse than a record of 12-4 unless they are already set and tank the final game.

Right now the Defense is looking vulnerable.

BTW Pete Carroll tried to give the Pats a chance by going for 2 on their last touchdown. Strange call. I know why he did it but still, he gave a breath of fresh air to the Pats chances to tie it up.

Yeah, I felt like BB threw that bone right back at him with the goal line throw with seconds left to tie it up.

Last year's #1 Marshawn retires. This year's #1 Rawls has been injured. Next man up is Procise who has been injured. There is your answer.
Not sure Prosise is the new # 1 RB. He had a great game but mainly receiving. He was 17 carries for 66 yards on the ground. He's also not big enough to be a Hawk starting RB. Not taking anything away from him but NEs D was/is terrible. As I said in other threads I wanted BB to draft Prosise.

Yeah, I don't think anyone is thinking Procise is going to be our feature back or anything, but it's nice to know that when we line him up in the backfield, teams can't DISCOUNT the run, knowing it's going to be a pass all the way.

I haven't seen the line but I'm taking NE to cover. Here's a few reasons why;
1. NE coming off the bye BB will have them ready.
2. Short week and cross country travel for Seattle both play against tgem.
3. Seattle's offense is terrible they can't score with NE.

Yep, me and about 1,000,000 others missed on this prediction.
1. NE was flat BB didn't have them ready.
2. You can't say you thought the same thing?
3. The other prediction I made was NE had to worry about a scrambling Wilson and finding Baldwin who woukd beat Ryan. Nailed that one.

1,000,000 other Patriot fans who got too cocky. I get it, you stand by your team and with the record the Pats have you're over confident.

But this is the Seahawks, not the 9ers.

McCourty will be entering into the big money portion of his deal soon... for a guy that always seems like he's two steps too late with help.

$11mil next year

Well I'm pretty sure more than just NE fans felt the same way. Seattle won enjoy it.

The worst coaching I've seen in New England over the past 15 years. If McD had called a time out on first and goal from the 2, the play should be extremely simple. Gronk, take 3 steps forward and turn completely around and face TB. The defender is two yards behind you and Tom has and open target. Do NOT engage the defender. Do NOT engage the defender. 3 steps and turn completely around....do you understand????????

Tom....4 step drop and release immediately to Gronk........do NOT think. Four steps, THROW.

Everybody understand or do I have to draw pictures?????

I was almost screaming at the TV....3 steps and turn, 3 steps and turn. I'm certainly not a professional football genius, but I did coach for 44 years. Gezuz how difficult is it to freeze a defender on man to man? If the defender decides to come hard, he'll commit a PI. End of story...............bad loss due to coaching.

Exactly, they've used that before. TB throws the ball low so if a defender tries to intercept it they have to go thru the receiver.
Bad coaching all game. That D is killing me. I was glad to see NE take the clock all the way down to 11 seconds. I was afraid they'd score with 1-2 minutes left and Seattle would march down field and beat them. That would've been a worse loss in my opinion.

All in all....I thought we were competitive DESPITE the D.

The D has to be a lot better than it was last night. It wasn't the lack of pass rush, IMO....we weren't even trying to rush the passer. Seemed like a lot of mix ups in the secondary to me.

And why was Rowe inactive? He is our only DB with SIZE...and could have helped out on Baldwin...just saying....

And can we stop letting Cyrus Jones return kicks...yes...he almost sprung one...but he cannot hold onto the ball!
