Gotta say, I'm a little concerned about this one and surprised that the hawks are getting more than a touchdown. Pats seem to be flat after a bye and no Collins.

Big Ken, tell me why I shouldn't worry!

Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots have gone 11-4 after the bye week since he returned to the organization in 2000.

I haven't seen the line but I'm taking NE to cover. Here's a few reasons why;
1. NE coming off the bye BB will have them ready.
2. Short week and cross country travel for Seattle both play against tgem.
3. Seattle's offense is terrible they can't score with NE.
4. Irvin, Rawls and possibly Kam Chancellor still out?
5. RW injured
6. Brady revenge tour
7. Officials watching Seattle D for a change. Sherman had 3 penalties called against him last week:eek:
8. Loss of Collins effect still TBD. I don't think it hurts NE against Seattle.
9. NE is pretty healthy
10. Playing at the Razor
That should cover it.:hope:

...and the number for covering the spread? I just hope the 7 1/2 comes down a tad and this is the NFL...on any given Sunday. Thus far, they've figured it out at halftime and gotten wins. That could change on any given week and the Seahawks are a top organization.

The Bills are an NFL-worst 0-23 since 2012 when allowing 25+ points. The Seahawks are second-worst at 1-14 in those games over that span. One of these teams will improve its record in that regard. Teams win about 20 percent of those games overall, with New England leading the way at 15-11, counting playoffs. No other team is above .500.

Seahawks looked very good last night. Russell looks healthy. This is a great measuring stick for the Patriots.

Should be a great game.

New England is healthy
Seattle is banged up a bit

Sherman got away with murder last night. Officials "ignored" his crap.

I would guess that Belichick and his coaching staff will be merciless this week in practice after the past couple of weeks of lazy football. Patriots had film sessions yesterday and will have on field and a breakdown of last night's game today. Full contact Wednesday and Thursday, no pads Friday, walk through Saturday.

One final piece...................Dion Lewis returns Sunday Night.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where did you hear this? They have until Nov. 16th to elevate him to the active roster - and they also need to clear a spot for him. I think it would be in their best interest to wait one more week - in case someone is in danger of heading to IR (hope not).

...and the number for covering the spread?

So, I just heard from Nick Wright who was on the Herd, that the Pats and Cowboys are a combined 14-1-1 against the spread. Pats loss against the Bills.

Lewis started full practices 2 weeks before the bye.

Tom E Curran and Mike Giardi stated last week on Patriots Wednesday that Lewis would be ready when the Patriots came off the bye. They said that the Seattle game would be the best game to get some time because the next two are on the road and starting off at home is much more preferable than starting away. Belichick didn't outright confirm it, but he said, "It's very possible." that Lewis would play Sunday night.

I think NE keeps on doing what they do. Rush 3/4 and keep Wilson in the pocket. I think the real challenge will be stopping the run and limiting the big plays by Jimmy G. Might see Rowe or D-Mac on him with more Harmon over the middle. Going to be a battle. Good test. Their secondary is not what it was, but Wright/Wagnor are prob the best LB group in the NFL. No Bennett helps. If NE uses both Gronk/Marty at the same time, those LB are going to have to cover them which should benefit....You know who?? Lewis or White!!! This might be just the game to get Lewis back in the mix.

And the Game Ball goes to..........................Danny Amendola......the Forgotten One

Mark my words......Seahawks will cover Hogan and Edelman tightly as possible. They'll try to double up on Gronk and do whatever they can against Bennett. Amendola will be forgotten and I predict he'll score early, force the defense to change still catch another TD to go with a total of 8 catches 92 yards 2 TDs.

I don't see their run game being an issue. Michael may get one or two long runs but that's it. Even if Crawls was back neither are beastmode. That ship has sailed.
Last time NE played agains Graham they shut him down so BB has the blueprint on that.
Need to corral Angry Doug Baldwin.

As for the NE offense I'd love to see DA have a big game. But I think one or both of the TEs have a big game. No Kam Chancellor will really hurt them. Blount may also have a big game if he goes north and south. If he dances around he'll go nowhere.

I think NE covers. BB has had two weeks to plan. As long as NE doesn'f come out flat. They need to win the coin toss and defer. Kick it away from Lockett. Stop their offense in the first series. That always seems to set the tone for the game. I can't stand when NE gets the ball first and go 3 and out. That seems to put them in an early funk that takes a couple series to get rid of.

Should be a good game. Go Pats

Comments:

- Hope your surgery goes well, Big Ken.
- Kam Chancellor is playing (he practiced today)
- I love that we only have 3 guys limited at practice (Edelman, Branch, and Bennett)
- Keep Dion Lewis out for one more week. He can warm up in San Francisco in week 11.

My thoughts are with you and your family. Best of luck. January will be 5 years since my dad past from a heart attack. Like you, he served our country. A Vietnam vet. Marine!

Stay strong man. :thumb:
