Worth a 4th round shot I guess. Let's hope he can produce better in New England than in Indy. But yea... See ya Bennett
I still think there's enough to make teams respect him as a chess piece given Gronk and Edelman are also in NE. Still works, probably overpaid in terms of actual value, but it's easy to justify as a win-now move.
NE also is in a small window with one of the better QBs the game has had.

Well obviously BB sees something in him. Back in 2014 BB said Allen was likely the best blocker.
You add 6 TDS in 14 games, Bennett had 7 TDs in 16.
He's cheaper than Bennett will be. I don't see a real decrease in production now that Allen will have a real QB throwing to him.
Who says BB still doesn't take a TE? All the talk about injury prone Gronk and possibly moving him in the future?
The only knock I see is now NE has two injury prone TEs.
Yep I'm ok with this. Today was busy in the NFL. Tomorrow should be crazy.Agree here. BB raved about this kid before a game calling him one of the best blocking TE in the game. He can also be a threat in the RZ. He is going to play the same exact role at Marty did when he was here. NE will prob still draft a TE, but they are covered now. He also makes the same about as MB did, but it will be at that price over the next 3 yrs.

I wonder if BB is planning a big move?
Going off the rumors I hope he doesn't sign Revis or Jackson. Some were saying they'd be happy if he came cheap and as a safety. I know BB loves his intellegence I just can't stand his attitude. Lots of WRs out there no need for another short receiver especially one with a head case.
If Gronk is healthy it is not as important to get a lot of production out of TE#2.
But the defense still has to account for him. And I think his 6 TDs wasn't a lot off Bennett? Bennett had 3 in one game early didn't he? A game without Brady?
I liked Bennett though, in a perfect NON CAP world he could stay.....
Nah, NE would still cheap out.
