Td your a good poster and I don't see what last year has to do with anything. No real Pats fans are beating the drum and saying they are clear fav's for the SB. Its Hammer just stirring up shit for his man-love for Peyton.

I don't think that the championship game informs much this year, Sonny, other than to remind those who think that Denver is incapable of beating NE this year that they are likely the same posters who expressed that same mistaken belief prior to that game last year. Only "went scoreboard", so to speak, after a NE poster tried to undermine what a boost it might be for Denver to effectively run the ball in the playoffs.

I would only say that 10% of the Pats fans thought that they would win in Denver in the AFCCG. One it was in Mile-high and hate to bring up injuries but with 4 starting OL out inc Mankins, Gronk,Mayo and Wilfork. And nobody thought that they would even make it there, losing their top 5 receivers from the year before, and relying on their return specialist Edelman to be their no#1 receiver. Say beginning of year Denver lost both Thomas's, Decker( which they did) and Welker. Throw in Miller and whoever their NG is and this is w/o the Talib,Ward or Ware signing, what chance would you give Denver for the season. Talking 5 new receivers, top tackler and NG?

Yeah I remember Pats were missing almost every playmaker on defense by that game and Gronk, were on the road and frankly the Broncos were a better team last year.

This game likely in NE. Pats are mostly healthy and getting guys back (Jones and Hightower this week) and frankly is the better team right now.

The regular season win this year was not like the flukey win last year either. That was a team that got beat in all 3 phases.

Any rematch will be a closer game but I just doubt they win up here...we will see I guess.

Denver grabbed Brady's no#1 receiver in Welker ( #4 in denver) AH kills people, Gronk injured again, Lloyd and Woodhead. But of course Brady has so many weapons , and they haven't won shit in over 10 years ( actually 9 for ones with math skills). TG Edelman has gone to being a QB in college , kickoff specialist in NE to Brady's #1. He's a 3-4 on most teams

Maybe it is only 10% of all NE fans who thought that NE would win the AFCCCG last year. I seem to recall, however, that there were several who post on this site who were among that 10%.

I think that NE has to be considered the favorite in the AFC at the moment, with Denver the second most likely representative. I also realize that that things can happen to change all of that.

I'm sure TD and those loudmouth are either young or bandwagon fans. The older ones have seen 30 years of futility and are realistic. Like I mentioned early whichever one of these teams grabs HFA has the edge to make to SB. Don't get me wrong, either one has a shot to beat the other one on their turf and I would be more confidant this year ( 25% shot) then last year. Also its not a given that either one of these teams makes it. Look at Balt few years back, going both in Mile-high and Gillette and winning, or a Pitt. I dont take too much stock in Indy yet because Luck is still young

`I wouldn't make any predictions because we still don't know who all of the playoff teams will be. If the season ended today here's what we would be watching:

NE & DEN would have the byes ARZ and DET would have the byes

BAL @ IND GB @ DAL
PIT @ CIN SEA @ NO

I like PIT and IND as well as DAL and SEA

IND @ DEN DAL @ DET
PIT @ NE SEA @ ARZ

Right now, every one of these games could be a nail biter. There's enough bad blood to DET at ARZ or any other combination. At least there's no weather to be concerned with in the NFC but the AFC is a totally different story.

In two weeks, the entire picture could be totally different. I wouldn't bet my disability check on anything right now.

I guess you have forgotten the Broncos were without over half their starting defense and missing some All-Pro talent on offense as well. Both teams were the walking wounded last year.

Here is who Denver lost last year...Von Miller (2nd best defensive player in the NFL), Wolfe, our starting MLB, Champ Bailey, Chris Harris, Rahim Moore, and Ryan Clady. That is 3 guys that were All-Pro players and another in Harris who finished among the top-5 Corners in the NFL last year. So I wouldn't come at us complaining about injuries from last year as the Broncos lost plenty.

My scoff at this "new found" run game Broncs fans seem to use to excuse Manning's diminished play as of late is because that run game is as fleeting as any other offensive aspect. Otherwise, NE would have simply given Jonas the ball for another 200yds for all the games after the Colts game.

...and for God's sake Broncs fans, put on your big boy pants will ya?

Poetic as that might be, Homer, as usual your logic is flawed. Pretty sure that the acquisition of Blount, Gray arriving late for something, and facing Detroit rather than Indy all played a role in not simply giving "Jonas the ball for another 200 yards". LOL big boy!

who was complaining? Brady had to get used to a whole new receiving core after losing his top 5 guys from last year. If Manning didnt have Julian and De, Welker and Decker do you guys make the SB? We lost our leading tackler Mayo, all pro NG Wilfork, think Talib was out , Mankins and 3 other starting O-line if you want to see who's dick is bigger

I think people would have to be fools to think Denver can't beat the Patriots in Foxboro. Of course they can. These teams are very close in terms of what they can do and it wouldn't take much for the Bronco's to get an earlier jump in a game there and ride it to the SuperBowl. And that's only one scenario.

Of course I'd think the same for a Patriots @Denver game too.

Certainly home field advantage is nothing to sneeze at either. It could be the small difference between the teams. I'll take whatever advantage the Patriots can get.

These teams are vastly different from last year and we still can't even predict what they'll be like in the playoffs.

Last year in the reg season game between our teams, Moreno took it to the Pats D carving them up, while Manning didn't throw for 100 yards till the 4th Q. If it works, keep going to the well. The game Blount had over 200 yards on ground, Brady kept feeding him the rock. Glad now Manning realizes he doesn't have to do it all on his own to win. Shitty D-line run it and crappy secondary, be a gun slinger. Leave the ego's at home

fortunately the Pats are vastly different on the defensive side of the ball compared to last year.

Absolutely PF and Pats could be one and done and lose their first game, nothing is a given in football

So is Denver they signed Ware, Talib and Ward and Harris and Miller are healthy ( both studs) and got rid of an aging Champ Bailey
