who was complaining? Brady had to get used to a whole new receiving core after losing his top 5 guys from last year. If Manning didnt have Julian and De, Welker and Decker do you guys make the SB? We lost our leading tackler Mayo, all pro NG Wilfork, think Talib was out , Mankins and 3 other starting O-line if you want to see who's dick is bigger

I'm not saying you guys were complaining. There were two Patriot posters (you being one of them) that brought up injuries and that they were a big reason your team lost that game. I was just pointing out that if there was a team in this league as beat up as the Patriots it was the Broncos. How we both had the seasons we did with some of those players out was quite impressive honestly. Both teams this year seem relatively healthy so it should make for an interesting game if that is what happens. Have to remember though that a potential match up between our teams is still a month away and a lot can change in that time.

And NEHomer who peed in your cheerios this morning? Man you have been in a bad mood for a few weeks on here. Sorry if there is something going on. Anyway the difference between the Broncos run game and that of the Patriots I thought would be pretty obvious. The Broncos have actually stayed committed to it. The Patriots when Gray went for over 200 ran the ball 44 times in that game. The next game that dropped down to 25 carries. If you look at the Broncos they have decided that even if teams load up the box they are going to continue to establish the run early and often in games. This isn't a change by the week kind of run game but one the team has made a full commitment to do.

So is Denver they signed Ware, Talib and Ward and Harris and Miller are healthy ( both studs) and got rid of an aging Champ Bailey

Also got back Rahim Moore and Wolfe from the IR as well. At this point the Broncos have 10 new starters on defense that were not playing in the Super Bowl. Only real returning starter is that of Knighton.

I would only say that 10% of the Pats fans thought that they would win in Denver in the AFCCG. One it was in Mile-high and hate to bring up injuries but with 4 starting OL out inc Mankins, Gronk,Mayo and Wilfork. And nobody thought that they would even make it there, losing their top 5 receivers from the year before, and relying on their return specialist Edelman to be their no#1 receiver. Say beginning of year Denver lost both Thomas's, Decker( which they did) and Welker. Throw in Miller and whoever their NG is and this is w/o the Talib,Ward or Ware signing, what chance would you give Denver for the season. Talking 5 new receivers, top tackler and NG?

I guess you could interpret it that way. First I mentioned that they were playing in Denver, tough venue and said hated to bring up some key injuries, but I understand both teams have them. When you have a new core of receivers, and an O-line that can't protect you because of injuries it makes for a tough day. But again never thought NE would win at MH and same with this year. If Pats lose 1 of the 2 final games, I said earlier I have Denver in the SB

My thoughts on that game last year was; first, with that defense damn lucky to be there and second, historically the Pats have faired very poorly playing in Denver. I was hoping for the best but expected the worst, which is what we got.

Also Manning was a better QB that day, no doubt about it. Most Pats posters here said that Brady stunk it up, he was way off on many throws. Thats what Hammer hangs his hat on every other post now, most off target of any QB. But hell I'll take the 7 picks through 14 games

Do they count throwing the ball away to avoid a sack an off target throw:suds:

Everyone hates espns QBR is off target throws any better:suds:

They do Molsan better off making a bone-headed Favre type throw and have it turn into a pick 6

Wow 10 that's incredible But ,Harris,Moore,Ware,Talib and Ward are nice "new guys" I dont know anything about Wolfe

Wolfe is a guy that doesn't show up in the flashy stats but he is a big reason the Broncos are ranked 2nd in the NFL for run defense. The guy is like having 3 DT's on the field to really stand up the OL. He was definitely missed last season with about as scary of an injury as I have seen in the NFL. I honestly did not expect him to continue his career so glad to see him having a pretty good year for us.

And yeah I think most of us on here as Bronco fans realize whoever has home field advantage obviously has the upper hand if the two were to play again. Like I've said a few times if I was a better man I would pick NE to win the game straight up between the two in Foxboro. I would be an idiot not to unless for some crazy reason NE suffered some serious injuries the week before but still found a way to win the game kind of thing.

Mostly my whole point here has been the team the Patriots played back in early November is not the same team of today. The Broncos have learned through some hard lessons (blowout losses to NE and St. Louis) that they cannot lean upon Peyton to completely carry them to the Super Bowl again. So they have worked very hard to change up midseason how they play the game. We have gone from passing 50 times a game to running 40 times a game and working to control clock, field position, and really wear a defense out. Plus a good run game can help take out a home crowd a lot more than trying to pass all day. This has also helped our defense tremendously not having to be on the field all game long as the offense tries to get something going. We have now seen them over the last 3 weeks giving up around 14 points a game and that is with the offense turning the ball over quite a bit and the defense giving up some garbage touchdowns (14 points to Buffalo). So again this just has the feel of a different team. Doesn't mean that team can win in Foxboro but for me I just feel a bit better with our chances of winning that game compared to just a couple of months ago. We have finally reached a point that Manning can have a bad game and the team still finds a way to win. Before a month ago the Broncos had not won a game where Manning had a quarterback rating under 90. Now they have done it twice in the last 3 weeks.

Gonna have to check out a Denver game , if they show one around here and watch Wolfe. And I know that if they played again the results would be different. Denver was actually fav and prob 75 of public and sports analysts were picking Denver to win. Having said that, I wouldn't expect the same results with NE if they played KC again. Those games and results are more fluke than typical

MNF at Cincinnati in six days.

Actually an interesting comment, since it acknowledges that most fans see their favorite team play more than they do other teams.

fortunately the Pats are vastly different on the defensive side of the ball compared to last year.

Yep. Definitely. That's certainly one big reason a lot of people like them to go the distance.

Right now I do think the one team no one wants to face now is definitely Seattle. Their D looks very ready for the post-season.

Is there any way they don't get HFA? Can Arizona slow them down?

We usually get Denver games in the late afternoon but I was surprised we didn't get the Denver-SD game, for some reason CBS decided not to show a second game in the Dallas market. Was stuck with the shitty Seattle-SF game on Fox.

Well that goes without saying and the other games they have showed lately here in RI have sucked. I rather watch the 'better teams' than NY Giants, Jax, etc. I dont have an NFL package so at mercy at CBS and Fox for Sunday games

I think AZ is on the brink of collapsing out of the playoffs, as tight as the NFC is.

Not sure with a 3rd string quarterback how good they can be but I will say Seattle doesn't look like a team that is going to blow a bunch of teams out like they could do last year. Yes defensively they can shut people down but that OL is going to cost them at some point big time in the playoffs. I could see a team like Detroit even going into Seattle and winning with that dominant DL they have. If Arizona had their starting quarterback I would give them a great chance against the Seahawks as they have that dominating defense as well. At this time though I would say Seattle's biggest challenge would be one of the AFC opponents as the Broncos, Patriots, Bengals and Ravens can all shut down that Seattle offense pretty well to keep the game interesting and all have decent quarterbacks that could put up a few points on that Seattle defense.

Same here heater for the 4;15 game on Fox would rather have watched Den/SD and usually good games and close, usually lol I knew SF would be no match for SF even though they took 7-3 lead.
