Sorry to bump this thread, but I can't start my own yet.

Just heard that Quarless is placed on IR. Who do the Packers plan to use to fill the void?

He was put on the IR with option to return so he is out 6 weeks. They have to make room on the 53 for Guion who is now done with his suspension.

So now they have room for Guion on the team and Quarless can heal up. The problem will come up later when Quarless is healed. Someone will have to be cut to bring him back on to the 53 man roster.

The rookie tight end Backman has been inactive in the first 3 games. My guess is he will now be active to replace Quarless and hopefully he will do good as it is the next man up.

Any concerns about Kaepernick this weekend?

I know he looked bad last week, but he's had the Packers number. Capers can't seem to reign in mobile QBs and Kaepernick has had games where they made him look super human both passing and running.
