Bruins homer
Ok maybe not holding but interference for sure.

that kind of thing (accidentally on purpose interference) was happening all over the ice and was going uncalled
who needs rules
Just making a counter argument to your statement. Did Kelly deserve a penalty for that elbow. Yes he did. Did JVR deserve a interference call. Yes he did. Kelly did not have the puck and was nowhere near it and gets taken down.
I don't disagree with the scrutiny of the refs, however I really do think technology is the main reason for the uproar in recent years more so than the quality of officiating itself. So many angles, so many replays and so much more for them to interpret now adays. Heck, look at the debates we have on here on whether or not hits were questionable or not after watching countless replays, now think about having to make that decision split second in a big game.
The one thing I will always get on refs about is consistency. All or nothing, no inbetween.
I think off setting minors is warranted as well and then a review on Kelly for that elbow.
That Kelly elbow probably should be reviewed, but I doubt that it will be. I think offsetting minors should have been called though.

I still think Lucic should have been called on the Daniel Sedin Style Crushing Hit....
Definitely borderline that's for sure and instead of sitting in the box, he pots the goal to make it 4-3. I wonder how many questions Kerry Fraser will get from Leafs fans about whether or not Lucic should have received a penalty.
Bitching about referees gets old, in every sport. They are always inconsistent and people love to watch replays from several camera angles and second guess what they have to decide at full speed in real time.
I guess it is easier to blame officiating or to look for a conspiracy than admit you just didn't get the job done. I always prefer to take responsibility rather than give it to others. I have always thought that if something was my responsibility than it is in my power to change the outcome in the future.
Im all for personal/team accountability but far too many teams/fans are pointing to questionable refereeing for my liking ... nhl needs to fix it ... its devolving into wwe type storylines
did the referee really miss what Kelly did to JVR last night ... caman! ... he needed a replay to figure out what happened when he was standing 15 feet away???
problem is its only going to get worse as nhl is having bigtime issues hiring/recruitung/training capable refs (kerry fraser even admitted to this)
I don't think Leafs fans are over the Gretzky high stick on Gilmour back in '93 (Fraser was the lone ref on the ice that night), the Lucic hit must feel like piling on.
/I hope klyper is okay.

Half of the time, they are scrambling to get out of the way of the play or suddenly on the wrong side of the rink (when the puck gets passed East to West) while trying to follow the action & determine if a call should be made.
My biggest gripe about officiating is how does the ref 5 feet from the infraction not make the call but the ref at center ice 100 feet away does?
Also, good teams overcome bad officiating.
/sort of off tangent here but the #1 reason i hate Steelers fans is it's always the refs fault they lose. I have never met a Steelers fan who can admit the other team was better etc... Fucking yinzers.
