I don't think the ball ever got to the plate ... might have hit AJ in the back or legs. Barrett camped on the plate not sure what he expected to happen.

I saw him pitch when he was 19 , I was living in Charlotte NC , he was pitching Low A ball . I sat behind home plate . I was blown away . I still have my Hickory Crawdads shirt & Cap I bought that night .

I wouldn't be too sorry for them, they could be interesting in a couple years with all the talent they've stockpiled in recent years

People talk shit b/c they don't spend money on FA's but whats the point? they would be bad even if they did, only shot they have is at homegrown talent, until that happens free agency is a pointless venture besides stopgaps and cost effective gambles

He was an all out stud until he hit AAA and kind of bottomed out against advanced competition for a couple years while he learned how to pitch

Profar is going through those same type of struggles now
