Yeah but that explosion was a long time ago.

Why only regular season? If you don't care that much about conference titles then I'd assume you care less about regular season.Regular season losses. FSU had twice as many as that just last season.
No program can stay at the top forever. Our downfall, while its lasted a while, hasn't been nearly as dramatic as a lot of other top programs. Since 1960 we haven't lost more than 7 games in a season, and that has only happened 3 times. Obviously we aren't where we want or expect to be, but the "Nebraska is dead" narrative is a bit excessive considering the downswings some other great programs have gone through.Yeah but that explosion was a long time ago.
Wisconsin has more B10 titles than OSU does the last 5 years.Ummm, no they're not. Not even close. Urban Meyer has only lost 1 regular season conference game since becoming the Buckeyes head coach and that came last year. Not even Saban did that his 1st 4 years at Bama. Wisconsin isn't a threat. It's Ohio State and everyone else.
Funny coming from an Iowa fan. Not you in particular, but a lot of the Iowa fans around here have been acting like the last two games of last season never happened. Why only regular season? If you don't care that much about conference titles then I'd assume you care less about regular season.
Every league has that though. I don't get why people focus on the B10 in that respect when every league is the same. 1 top dog and 1 or 2 teams that compete with them annually. Name a league that's had more than 3 different league Champs in the last 5 years like the B10 has. You cant. It doesn't happen
Winning record since leather helmet days, more than 1 shared Natty since the 40's, move B1G titles since the 40's, move wins since the 40's, and much more class (r*pe coverup trumps tatoos).
I went with the 40's since who gives a rats ass about the leather helmet days. Well I know who, those that cant brag about their team in recent memory.
Iowa played 13.5 good games of football last year. Unfortunately the only truly shitty half they played all year came in the Rose Bowl. It is what it is. Pretending it didn't happen is dumb but likewise it's dumb to pretend Iowa wasn't 12-0 and 30 seconds from the CFP.Funny coming from an Iowa fan. Big 12 has had 5 different champs the last 5 years if you include co-champs:
'11 Okie jr
'12 KSU, OU (co champs)
'13 Baylor
'14 Baylor, TCU (co Champs)
'15 OU
Plus, the B1G hasn't had more than 3 different champs the last 5 years:
'11 Wisconsin
'12 Wisconsin
'13 MSU
'14 tOSU
'15 MSU
So about 20 years since we've seen this sort of conference dominance.Nebraska undefeated in regular season Big 8 and Big 12 conference games
1993 7-0
1994 7-0
1995 7-0
1996 8-0
1997 8-0
Nebraska 1 loss and 1 tie in regular season Big 8 and Big 12 conference games
1991 6-0-1
1992 6-1
1993 7-0
1994 7-0
1995 7-0
1996 8-0
1997 8-0
Yeah. It's just these Iowa fans in Omaha (that all of a sudden popped out of the woodwork...never knew they were Iowa fans before last year) that act like they ended the season 12-0 with a national title.Iowa played 13.5 good games of football last year. I try and be realistic. Iowa played a sub part schedule last year. That's fact. It's also fact that Iowa didn't trail in the second half of a game all year til the B10 title game. That means that while their schedule wasn't good they pretty much dominated it. That said this team isn't good enough to play a bad half and still beat a good team, of course that's true about 98% of CFB. If Iowa plays to potential this year they will be 11-1 or 12-0 again. If they don't then they could lose 3 or 4 games.Yeah. It's just these Iowa fans in Omaha (that all of a sudden popped out of the woodwork...never knew they were Iowa fans before last year) that act like they ended the season 12-0 with a national title.
FSU has 3 regular season ACC losses in the last 4 years (NC State, Ga Tech, Clemson). That's an elite Clemson team and two very average teams. Why only regular season? If you don't care that much about conference titles then I'd assume you care less about regular season.
Yes Nebraska, we know you're here, you've been acknowledged.
Obviously enough to post.I care
You were the one that asked someone to name one from all of college football.Yes Nebraska, we know you're here, you've been acknowledged.
Your fellow Husker pointed that out, you were just pouring 20-year old gravy on top.You were the one that asked someone to name one from all of college football.
Just providing context that I think was relevant since we were talking about OSU's run and lack of conference titles.Your fellow Husker pointed that out, you were just pouring 20-year old gravy on top.
Duly noted, you bastage.Just providing context that I think was relevant since we were talking about OSU's run and lack of conference titles.
While I obviously knew we had a good run then, I didn't know that particular "only one conference loss in X years" stat. Pretty interesting.Duly noted, you bastage.
