I will be in Chicago next week, staying near O'Hare, and am wondering what kind of stuff there is to do there. I will be VERY occupied during the days, and probably rather intellectually fried every evening. I am not much into bars, but will have an expense account. I will have a car.

I do enjoy people watching and eating steak.

Help a brother out.

How blood thirsty are the scalpers? Ducks in town Tuesday...

My car will be an SUV, not a Checker Cab.

Navy Pier looks right on. Just the kind of thing I am looking for.

MOAR!

I suggest telling people you're Abe Froman (the sausage king of Chicago).

While you are there, intercept or sack Jay Cutler a few times. I think everyone who visits Chicago does at some point...

lol

The Museum of science is pretty cool. I also like the Adler Planeterium. I think it's the largest in the western hemi.

Hanging around DarkStone has had a definite negatively charged effect on you.

The Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, and of course you can't miss the United Center where Jonathan Toews founded the Chicago Blackhawks in 2007 and quickly led them to a world series hockey championship.

Take a Blue Jackets jersey and put it on the Jordan statue at United Center. Make sure to take credit so the locals know who to thank.

I was thinking of putting on a gray wig and slamming on the brakes in front of every Humvee I see. I'll call it "Trolling for Ray Ray".

Thanks for the suggestions. Anyone know if these museums and such are open in the evenings? I will be elbows deep in suits and other annoying peeps by day.

As someone who's lived there for four years, let me give you some suggestions.

1. Architectural tour of Chicago. You go on a big ass boat down both sides of the river while someone explains the history of the city and its architecture.
2. Field Museum/Shed Aquarium. Both are stellar in their respective field.
3. Deep Dish Pizza: Gino's East, Giordano's, Lou Malnatis (my favorite), it's not a real trip to Chicago without having a deep dish.
4. Those beef sandwiches are overrated.
5. Willis (was sears) tower.
6. A cocktail at the top of the Hancock.
7. House of blues, or one of the many jazz bars Chicago has to offer.
