What does your stadium do as an event to launch the game?

This question is for those who attend games. Often a pre kickoff event might not be shown on the TV as they usually are in commercial mode just before kickoff.
I will start by telling what we in Seattle get exposed to just before the opening KO.
Just before team introductions (usually 11 players on the starting D or O) as the players prepare to enter the field through a screen of fog, noise, and fire, an Osprey will take a solo, untethered flight from the tunnel to her handler which is as cool to witness as can be. It is probably a 50 yard flight. Her name is Taima and when she takes flight she always soars just inches above the play field before she steers herself up to her handlers gloved hand.

I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that she is an Auger Hawk, quite similar to an Osprey which is aka a Seahawk.
Right after that the 12th Man flag is raised usually by a local famous athlete or celebrity. It is always a big moment at The Clink and fans are always wondering who is going to raise the flag this week? For our 1st trip to a Super Bowl in 2005, Mr Allen raised the flag as all of the Hawk fans in attendance were awed by his display of fandom. A moment I will always remember.

I am curious what other stadiums around the league do for their moment just before kickoff.

My pre-game exposure is different from Uhsplit's when going to Seahawks games....

1.) Find a nearby watering hole.
2.) Drink anywhere between moderately to excessive.
3.) Enter stadium & BYPASS the expensive beer that they sell at the CLINK.

Oh yeah, watch out for Taima. She recently went rogue during a game......

Seattle?s live hawk mascot flew into stands and landed on a fan?s head | For The Win

In one of the few times arriving late for Taima's entrance she ends up landing 10 seats from my seat. One row and 10 seats to my left. The bird stayed on that guys shoulder until the trainer went into the seats to collect her. I missed it.

Not at all. It works for us cuz that is who we are and our owner smiles every time he writes your team a check.

Is it weird that your team would sell a piece of what they feel is their history, heritage, and tradition? It goes to show that some will do anything for money.

It's weird that you don't even know where you buy your "tradition" from. I'm sure you have no clue, but your post was a complete fail.

Considering A&M ripped off their "tradition" themselves, I would think that they would hush their mouth and accept their check.

It's funny though that a Texas fan is pulling that shit for A&M. Damned funny.

Anyone with an ounce of brains knows there isn't any tradition taken. Just a trademark which shouldn't have ever been granted as one since it is a generic term they didn't even create. There is zero similarity in how each use their tradition.

Texas fans trolling people. :pound:

Maybe next you could pay the steelers and do your own terrible towels.

Think we could get a deal on "America's Team" since the current owners weren't the originators first choice?

Maybe, if you win 1 more title and people start to care about your franchise. Right now you're more like "Canada's team".

So "Canada's Team" has about as many playoff wins in the past two seasons as "America's Team" has in the past twenty?

Exchange rates suck.

Too bad UT doesn't have any recent traditions of their own for you to troll on. Having to now do so for the better team in state has to kind of suck.
