If you're looking at hockey cards, I'd specifically check the feedback for comments on shipping/packaging. Most of what I've ever ordered was used books and some would come very well packaged, while others would just be slipped into a manila envelope. Obviously I never knew exactly what condition they were in before they were shipped, but a few of them showed up in less-than-ideal condition.

For example, I was looking at this Aaron Ekblad card that I like and it says this:

Payment is due within 14 days of end of auction, I will send a reminder after 7 days, and will start an unpaid item case at 15 days, I feel this is a more than adequate payment timeframe. All single cards will be shipped safely and securely via United States Postal Service in a soft sleeve, top loader or screw/snap tite, team bag, and bubble wrap envelope.
