downtown will be absolutely bonkers tonight.
Leo's game and Nucks both at 7:00, plus all of the Halloween festivities.

Nothing I like better than beating the Alouettes right in Montreal. That was pretty sweet.

That makes three teams tied for the West division lead with 10-7 records. It's all comes down to the final week.

/Also, classy Als fans jeering an injured Stampeders player in the final minute.

Tebow might be holding a clipboard in the CFL (if he's lucky) - Can he count to 12?

I don't have a problem with BC holding down top spot in Cullen's TSN power rankings, but Calgary goes on the road and beats Montreal (never trailed in the game) and somehow the Als are ranked 3rd and the Stamps are 4th?!? He needs to throw away his algortihms.

Lions jump to top of CFL Power Rankings with win in Edmonton

Yeah, that was very bad - Jyles gave himself up with the feet first slide and Sears lowered the boom leading with the helmet. No word yet on suspension, but I think this could be a doozy.

/Sears should have been gone for the rest of the season - That's pretty harsh, I know, but so was his helmet-to-helme hit on a QB.

I pvr'ed the Lions/Esks game and as usually happens I just forwarded through it to see the scoring plays ... I knew about the Johnson absence

didnt realize that the Lions d-ends Khalif Mitchell and Eric Taylor PLAYED EVERY DEFENSIVE DOWN ... thats nuts ... 300+ pound Mitchell was apparently dry heaving ... surprised he didnt kick the bucket

Their solid performance on no notice, along with the fierce work of twin bulldozers Khalif Mitchell and Eric Taylor in the interior of the B.C. defensive line, blunted the Eskimos' attack and kept the Lions - tied at 10-7 atop the West with Edmonton and Calgary, but holding the season series edge against both - in position to clinch first place here Saturday evening against the also 10-7 Montreal Alouettes.

Mitchell, who dominated the line of scrimmage, pushed the pocket all night and had two tackles and two quarterback sacks in the 29-20 win, was voted the CFL's defensive player of the week. Early indications are that with Aaron Hunt set to return on a limited basis from his ankle injury, he may rotate at tackle with Taylor and Mitchell, with Johnson and Khreem Smith on the ends. Williams didn't practice Tuesday.

"I think everyone knew we were in a tough situation [Saturday]," said Mitchell, for whom the defensive honour was his second of the season - as was quarterback Travis Lulay's offensive player award.

"We had one D lineman go down, one's not here, one's not playing," Mitchell said of the defence's task. "So we didn't have a rotation. You've got to suck it up, and it was one of the most gruelling games I've been in.

I'm still waiting for you to sell me your Grey Cup tickets, unless your planning on watching the Stamps and Alouettes in late November at BC Place.

Edmonton beat Saskatchewan 23-20 last night to lock up at least 2nd place in the West. Thus, the playoff scenarios are as follows:

A BC win today gives them 1st place in the West and would push the Stamps to 3rd place. The only way the Stamps can move up to 2nd is if they win and BC loses, which would mean that BC would travel to Calgary next weekend for the West semi-final.

barely! they made a 3rd and short by the nose of the ball on their final drive.
intheir own half, and not far out of fg (or at least rouge) range. down to the wire

Stamps win 30-24 over the Bombers...If BC wins, Calgary goes to Edmonton next week, but it BC loses, BC will travel to Calgary.

I'm hoping for a BC win, Edmonton doesn't scare me as much as the Lions.
