i didnt look back in previous threads to see if it was brought up but at Mark Cohons state of the union at the grey cup the cfl bog agreed to "GIVE" 1 million dollars to fund the Argos increased marketing for next season

theyre in the biggest market in the league ???

hopefully all it takes is getting a franchise type qb with some name recognition

Nope, trade him to Hamilton (plus throw in a 1st round pick) for Justin Hickman.

Edm coach Kavis Reed seems pretty crushed about it.

- "Ricky Ray is a top two quarterback in this league, at worst a top three."
Lulay + Calvillo are pretty much pegged as 1 and 2... not sure where he'd fit in there. maybe I've been spoiled by watching him pass to Ryan Phillips so often

Interesting on the Ricky Ray. Toronto just got better. The 3 other Western teams thanks Edmonton for trading a top Qb to the East.

I know Ricky Ray doesnt pass the eye test ... maybe its because he dinks and dunks, maybe its because his arm strength sucks, maybe its because he's bald but fact is he has the second highest career qb rating in cfl history. The o line in edmonton really put the suck in his game in the past couple years. Problem is that the Argo O line is no better especially with Rob Murphy coming off a horrible injury

Edmonton did get the Argos #2 pick overall though and should be able to select a good canadian kid
