Nikki Jimenez, wife of Ticats offensive tackle Jason Jimenez, used Twitter this morning to sound off about the team's plan to sit her husband this week.

A series of four Tweets began around 9:30 a.m.:

• Apparently my husband is supposed to be perfect all the time. He is being sat down this week because he had one offsides penalty last game.

• Same rules not for everyone though. Its ok for other guys to get penalties. Jason is the only one punished.

• sit your best tackle against the hottest team in the CFL? Way to try to win #Ticats!

• And my opinions are my own, not jason's. I've been quiet all season but now I've had enough. This season has been ridiculous

She can be found @Mrs60Nikki and this is her excellent Twitter profile description: “I'm mommy to 2, a pre-nursing student, a Zumba/fitness instructor, and the all around fancy, very opinionated wife of the most hated man in the CFL.”

Normally, the Tweets of a player's wife wouldn't neccessarily be news, though the rules of engagement on reporting on social media stuff are dodgy at best. But this is the first I've heard or seen of Jimenez sitting vs. B.C. as I'm pretty sure he practiced with the first team for most of yesterday. And she also provides a reason why.

Getting rid of Jimenez was a master stroke by Wally Buono - He's one of the dirtiest players in the league (coupled with the fact that I don't think he's all that good to start with).

lol...This has brou-ha-ha written all over it.

/I think the Ti-Cats are miffed because the refs missed a PI call on Chip Cox that could have ended up tying the game late in the 4th quarter.

Geroy Simon now #2 all time int he CFL, with his 99th touchdown.
Leo's 7-6 over TiCats at the end of the 1st quarter (Cat fight!!)

Ti-Cats had (successfully) short-kicked after their 6-0 fieldgoal, but some dolt as offside.
Leos made them pay in a hurry.

Geroy's getting absolutely rocked over the middle today.
that's the second big, big shot he's taken.

TiCats block a punt at the end of the half, get a couple of shots from the 6 yard line.
and they punch it in after a P.I. call brings them to the 1. 16-10 at the half.

Well, it was a great winning streak for BC, but I didn't see a 32 point victory for Hamilton today.

Final score: Ti-Cats 42, Lions 10

Updated West Division standings:

1st Edmonton (10-6)
2nd BC (9-7)
3rd Calgary (9-7)

and then there's Sask in the cellar.

Blame the Braley team dinner again ... every year (usually its the summer) they go to the Braley compound (this time, and because October BBQs in Hamilton are chilly, they spared Braleys wife and had it at a restaurant) when they hit Hamilton and feast on mass amounts of varied meats and they end up playing like they just feasted on mass amounts of varied meats ... who knew

the cdns were dropping like flies with injuries too which means trouble ... B.C. Lions roster thin on Canadian talent
