Look what $563 million can do for you...

/Hopefully, the Stamps can celebrate a Grey Cup victory in this refurbished stadium in November.

Over 50,000 at the new-old BC Place stadium last night to see the Leos defeat the Eskies. Things got a little feisty at the end of the game.

Geez, that was fun to watch - Final score Calgary 40, Saskatchewan 3

That's two straight weeks the Riders have lost by 37 points.

got a rugby question, as the I'm bored is college FB today.

Does Tonga beating France mean that we need to tie NZ tonight to qualify for next year?

To get the automatic bid to the 2015 tourney (and some quality tournaments invites as well as several million dollars injected into the national program), yes.

I need to follow-up on a post earlier in this thread when I said I would give Geroy Simon props if the Lions beat the Eskimos on Sept. 30th at the re-opening of BC Place. Not only did Geroy tie Brian Kelly with 97 TD receptins, but he also went over 1000 yards in receiving for the 9th straight season.

Well done, Geroy.

a whole bunch of BC Place service people didn't show up to work as (apparently scheduled), and another batch quit mid-shit due to the unbelievable cluster-fuck going on.
people were waiting 25-30 minutes in line at the concession, only to be told there was no beer or hotdogs or pretty much anything left.
you KNOW you are getting 50,000+ people there, how fucking tough is it to have beer and dogs for everyone? (and would staff to serve them be too much to ask?)

they were talking about this, this morn on the radio

apparently, the serving employees had zero to no training because the stadium was a contruction zone up until Thursday morning ... and the staff was almost completely new ... very few returnees from the workforce employed last shift during the winter olympics

my bro said the guy serving beer was sweating something fierce lol

Paul Chapman from the province brought up that that stadium has forever had concession issues and he would know since he used to work as a beer vendor back in the early 80's when they first opened the building. He said he remembered one guy working hotdogs and he was so stressed out his sweat started pouring onto the dogs lmao

lol at people quitting during their first shifts

Dash are you watching fooseball or the hockey?

Burris fakes a throw on his first play, but shouldn't of held on.
gets crushed, fumbles and three plays later Arland Bruce adds to his numbers.

pretty tough to cover both Bruce and Simon on the same side.

I usually check up a little bit, but haven't at all this year. Been a good season in the CFL?

It's been a weird one from my team's perspective.
BC lost 6 of the first 7 games, and then have rolled off 6 W in a row and could clinch a playoff spot tonight.
Calgary and Edmonton roared out of the gates for the first half-dozen games or so, and then both fizzled at the same time.
no idea what's happening in the East. It's Montreal's to lose until someone tells me different.

Dash, when you watch the game, check Nick Lewis at the 10:58 mark of the 2nd.
pinned some guy for the three count.

oh Tim Brown you fucking idiot. :L

Sportscenter was giving Cavillo a bunch of love yesterday, but didn't mention nothing of the current season. They just talked about how many freakin' miles he has passed the ball. Crazy!

Pretty good game.

hell of a finish, that's for sure.

what a day for McCallum. tie the record, beat the record, shank the next one to end the streak in spectacular TD-the-other-way fashion, and then nail a 53 yarder with no time left for the W.

whoa....

Farhan Lalji
Nick Lewis not talking post game. Not happy with how little he saw the ball. "Im gonna get cut if I talk to y'all. You can quote me on that"
