Pretty crazy. Obama better be smart and not bow down to another country.
Putin returns as Russia's president amid protests - CNN.com
I see nothing positive coming from that area of Earth in the next decade.
Under Russia's newly amended constitution, Putin will serve a six-year term and, if re-elected, could remain in power until 2024 -- the longest of any Russian leader since Joseph Stalin,:eek2: according to Ria Novosti.
Yep, and his whole campaign was geared around military spending. I'm serious, Obama better grow a sack, 'cause its looking like he is sadly going to be re-elected. Finding and killing Osama was under his watch, but not due to him, this can and most likely will become a serious threat.
is that the general consensus amongst americans? Didnt he step up Kill/Capture? Or would the war machine have convinced any sitting US president to do the same?![]()
Huh?
Behind the strike that killed Osama bin Laden was one of the U.S. military's best-kept secrets: a covert campaign that officials have credited with taking out thousands of Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters.
pbs documentary on it was very riveting ... dubbya first authorized it but the program went into high gear when Obama came to office ... which goes back to my question ... would any sitting president have been convinced to do the same

I do not think so. A former and would be president have both stated that finding Bin Laden was not a priority to them. Obama made that a focus and followed through.
its not just Bin Laden though ... i just wonder if the tactic of drone attacks and night raids on supposed terrorist leaders would fly with just any president ... white house has done a great job cleansing the nature of these "incidents" though
I really doubt the military leadership is calling the shots and Obama is just averting his eyes to whats going on ... yet people think hes a pussy while Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders are been blown to shit in the middle of the night by drones
Obama finalized a project started by the Bush administration in an election year. However I do give him credit for completing the task. I just dont believe Obama will make a preemptive strike against a nation that could become a threat and/or that makes a threat.
I like having a somewhat imperialistic president in the sense that they will end a problem before it begins. I, again IMO, just don't see Obama setting a nation straight by whatever means necessary before we are faced with a severe threat.
