The Kelowna, B.C. RCMP are hoping to scoop out the mystery behind a giant ice cream cone that showed up early Sunday morning on the lawn of an unimpressed home owner.

The man says he has no idea how the 4-foot tall cone found its way onto his lawn just before 6 a.m. PT.

Police were unable to find a "lick of evidence" despite speaking to neighbours.

The cone is now with the Kelowna RCMP and police are hoping to reunite it with its rightful owner.

I don't know, sounds like a job for the cold case investigators to me...
