Wow, great shots too! First time in anything that small? You feel everything! My father had his pilots license when I was a teen. He flew Cessnas, which were fun but you felt every bump - in a good way. Usually.

Yeah, and I'm slightly claustrophobic too. There was barely enough room for my legs, but I just focused on the view. Even with headsets on, the rumbling noise of the engine gave me a slight headache. Well worth it, though. It's my friend's plane.

There are plenty of more shots, but I didn't want to clog the thread.

Hope your friend was better at landings than my father was. Numerous times the air traffic control would "critique" his landings.
He'd look at me and say "any landing you can walk away from is a good one"

I quoted the "walk away" saying, and he said a great landing is one where you can fly the plane again. I told him that maybe next time his landing will be superb.

I gotta get back out there. When Mrs 43 was in college at Frostburg we would go out there a lot. Haven't been in over 15 years.

If we don't have any major trip plans we usually end up here in fall each year. With Covid and family stuff this is the first time in about 5 years. It's still nice, any difference seems for the better.

Except for place prices! Used to be able to get a place in fall for cheap (off season, post summer pre ski), prices are much higher now. Cheaper than 2 years ago when I checked though.
