When the restaurant was named differently we used to take the kids up there for lunch and dinner and just watch the people training take-offs and landings.

Also was that wrecked plane still on the side of the runway in the grass? It was there a few months ago when we were at that restaurant for a wedding rehearsal dinner.

One of my favorite hikes, Swallow Falls State Park. You hike down to one waterfall, walk along the river, and climb back up another waterfall. Great day too, mid 60s and sun.

Great pics Comeds - My wife and I have discovered a couple of beautiful hiking spots on Vancouver Island recently that also have waterfalls, the tranquility and calming white noise of waterfalls is soothing to the soul.

True story, back in the late 80s/early 90s I had a friend who managed a McDonald’s and I worked at a local pizza shop. He would bring us food from McDonald’s and we would trade him pizza just for something different to eat. He brought us the McRib sandwiches one night. I opened mine smelled it and thought there was no way in hell I am eating this thing. Instead of tossing it out I took it home and gave it to my German Shepherd.
