Everyone who romanticizes the free market should be okay with it, right?

But if we had single payer we might not be tied to our employers for our health coverage and we may easier be able to leave when mistreated or underpaid. Keep it the way it is!

True but sadly in the US think of Pharma companies in this space like Cable companies in US. They stay within their "boundaries".

Still curious to know if the Pharmaceutical companies magically get involved. Insulin is HUGE business for the producers especially in the US where the markup is beyond belief.

And my fish tank heater malfunctioned and rose the temp to 90+ and all but two of my fish have died.

Probably will today or Monday. Apparently it's really hard to get in to be tested because a lot of people are asking for tests so they can feel better about having grandma come over for Thanksgiving.

"And now I've caught it from standing in line at a clinic for two hours with other people who were symptomatic."

I had a test done recently due to my wife's upcoming surgery. My choice was to wait in a long line of potential COVIDs for a rapid test, or wait a few days for results from an appointment only place that spreads the appointments in 10 minute intervals, so no people around waiting. I felt much safer that way even though between waiting for the appointment and the results took almost a week longer.

I was/am negative.

Rapid test negative, so gotta sweat out a day or two for the full test. But that's a good start.

Good that Mrs 43 has a student whose mom is a doctor, got me in quick without needing to be in a line.

Never mind that if it came from a student, hers is suspect #1, right now she's cool
