I just spent a week on a beach in North Carolina.

One day, a guy actually brought his Trump flag to the beach and planted it in the sand next to where he was sitting.

i used to listen to a morning radio show out of seattle in the late 90’s to mid 2000’s (tman in the morning-lol) and they had a running segment where theyd have a female listener phone up a guy friend of hers and the gist was she had to say to the male friend that she wanted to be more than friends and if the guy declined the female callers (who was always certain that her male friend would decline) sexual invitation, she would win a prize.

i never heard a segment where the female won the prize lol and more than a few of the “friendships” were toast after the call

After Hauer died I was having a few beers with a friend* and we were discussing his films. My friend had never seen the movie, I had not seen it since I was a kid and started to explain it to him not thinking it was funny at all. As I start explaining that Stallone was a expert at disguise and got to the ending I realized how stupid it was. I found a gif of that later after a few more beers and could not stop laughing. My friend was really asking if it was a comedy.


*We were getting together anyway, it was not a special meeting because of Rutger's demise.

The next Island up the coast:

I kayaked to that island, that's how close it was. Also reports of major damage to Ocean Isle Beach, next one down. I imagine Holden got kicked pretty bad too. Just no specific reports yet.
